I have never thought to ask this? Is the art designer of Dragon Quest created by Akria Toriyama? It's just because the character in this game series look exactly like Dragonball/Z/GT and Dr Slump characters?

The game is absolutely made in cooperation with Toriyama, who also worked on Chrono Trigger

+xXSHAQSXx Yeah, there's even a nod to his DBZ characters going super sayian in Dragon Quest 8. One thing that's really cool is Toriyama designs some awesome monsters. The Dragon Ball and Z series don't really show it off well. Even some of the final bosses in DQ games look like DBZ villains. But he can make some super creative and awesome monster designs.
