+Isaac Straccioni I'm not sure what you meant but if you were asking where the remover is, depending on where you got the zip file there should be two reg files inside it. One is for adding it, the other is for removing it.

+D.J. Moore Windows 7 is notorious for not allowing admin privileges with certain files. This registry install overrides that and allows you to "take ownership" over your files so they can be edited or deleted if necessary. Happy New Year, Bro!

@PCEnergyMonkeys My computer running windows 8 says in cmd after typing that command "The Syntax of this command is: secedit [/configure : /Analyze : /import : /export : /export : /validate : /generaterollback] and the reason I tried to do this because I changed permission of my c drive to full deny, so I can't access it, but I run cmd in admin mode through safe mode, so how can I fix this problem?

According to the knowledge base this wont fix all security permission and there is no way to restore them to when your OS was first installed for Windows Vista/7/2008. You can verify this by looking at the security template using the Security Template MMC snap-in.

On a school laptop and i enabled the hidden admin account but I tried to reset my permission so that i can access my windows c drive on my normal account but it said that '' A extended error has occurred."

Worked perfectly for me. Might not fix everyone's problem but if you've been hitting your head against a wall trying to fix permissions after a virus has run rampant then you should definitely try this.

Hola amigo... vi un pequeño problema con las aplicaciones de office (la pagina, aparece en negro)... Pero una solución bastante sencilla que utilice fue: personalizar/color de ventana/configuración avanzada de apariencia/ventana/color1/(blanco). Así se altera muy poco el tema y las aplicaciones de office y marcos de escritura funcionan muy bien; si alguien sabe de otra manera para lograr excluir los programas de office del tema, le agradecería su aporte. (o_x)

Awesome theme and great tutorial, i would add one of them youtube tab box things to advise the extra apps are in the description, i tried to use another version of Take Ownership and it didnt work with EXE files, googled it for a while before i thought to check your description and there it was! cant thank you enough for theme!!! recommend watching this for a custom themeing "101" for noobs too as it was really easy to follow

Hey....I'm about to attempt it coz it just looks too cool to pass up :D...though I just wanted to ask since my pc language is set at english and I clearly don't know any spanish will that be a problem coz Im gonna play it according to what I see so hope I don't mess anything up....and I dont know about takeownership but I can revert back to my original settings if I wish to right? Clearly I'm no comp wiz.. :/

I'm having a problem, I installed this theme and everything is good. But there are some minor things that aren't ok. For example in the Office Word, The page is black, not white. And other things 2 like the background of some text is black and the font color is black and I can't read them. Is there some way to fix this? please help...

rflfn o tema é muito bom mas no pc não deu certo então desinstalei, e os ícones do arquivo imageres.dll responsáveis para mudança de cor pretas em pastas, computador e etc continuam com a cor preta já tentei de tudo para retirar e nada deu certo, você tem alguma solução para resolver esse caso!

my folders are still the same color on my desktop is there a way to change them to the black folders as seen in 13:56 and also my scroll bar when using google chrome is messed up but only on certain web sights like you-tube or devionart but on facebook it works just fine any way to fix that

doesn't work for me, i've swapped all files from the dll folder (x64 because i've got 64-bit win7), close/fullscreen/minimize icons aren't showing, only few desktop folders have changed icon. I did everything correctly.
