+scottieglot I wouldn't say to avoid it. It's probably one of the most popular areas in Berlin! It's the Görlitzer Bahnhof area in Kreuzberg. So many people want to live in that area because it's apparently such a "cool" and "happening" area.... but it's just not my thing. But anyway you shouldn't avoid it, don't let me put you off. I know plenty of people that live round there and love it. It's just very different to the other areas I prefer to visit in Berlin.
