@mperloe This information is disappointing to me since none of my husbands medical professionals nor mine (my OBGYN) have mentioned this. We are a young couple and obviously want to have a family one day. Even in questioning my OBGYN about the use of androgel and sperm production, she stated it shouldn't be a problem. He has been on the gel off and on for about 2 years and he has also had injections in the past. Thank you for your quick response!

Hi Mark, This video is helpful. In April-2013 I was taking Testosterone undecanoate (Androil) pills to increase sperm count. I stopped these pills in May-2013, doctore adviced this can back fire sperm production. In June-13 and Aug-13 my sperm count is Zero (no sperm at all). My LH & FSH are normal. Testosterone level is low 152. Do you think the effect of Androil pills can cause Zero sperm?

@leeleeua Yes. Angrogel can reduce your sperm production. Any form of testosterone will suppress pituitary secretion of FSH which is needed for sperm production. hCG, clomid, letrozole and other injectable medications like Bravelle, Menopur, Gonal F may increase sperm production since they replace pituitary hormones.

@Jahkillian i would like to know this also. I think testosterone injections will increase your libido but reduce your sperm count. I would like to know what it was he recomended instead. I know that you can inject lh hormone to increase sperm count but you cant do that forever either

So let me understand. The testosterone will give you higher libido but less sperm? I thought the very feeling of male libido is the filling of being full of sperm? So is there something you can take while being on testosterone therapy that will increase sperm?

@abvmoose87 Yes. It will improve your libido, but decrease sperm production. You may benefit from clomid or letrozole oral medication, or in some cases injectable hCG injections may be needed.

My husband have 0-1 sperm count is there any help for him? He is 44years and never had any kinds his twin don't have any kinds as well.
