I raced one of these during the end of 1986 and all through the 1987 SRAC
sanctioned motocross events in Colorado. The bikes were designed by an old
dude named Eyvind Boyesen. The original radiator covers said "Works
Replica". I was sponsered by Sport City Kawasaki in Colorado Springs. They
supplied my 84 KX Play bike and my 85 and 86 racers. The bikes are very
fast, handled well and seldom broke. One of the funnest bikes I ever
owned......Ray Crawford #381
@KX125rider12 I agree its really hard to get aftermarket parts for them but
it doesnt make the bike a piece a shit, it just makes it hard to get parts
lol. i got this bike to start off, i used to ride an 85 and i started to
get good at riding then i sold the bike, so once i get better ill get a
newer bike. DG makes some nice parts for older, bikes, and look in the
description the bike has alot of parts so i dont need to do anything to it.
@ska8mafia21 thanks, i know its not the nicest bike cause its old, i just
needed something to get me back into dirtbikes, im selling this soon and
getting a 250f, i rode a yz250f this weekend and i like the suspension and
the 4 stroke predictable power, and this bike isnt restored its all
original and some people pay alot for vintage motorcross bikes so maybe i
can get a decent amount
@Qmudder I know just gimme a few weeks im not good on dirtbikes, im goin
riding in two weeks so ill definitely get a vid even if its not good, til
then ill be practicing in this trail next to my house, i cant get any vids
of that trail though cause its a walkin trail and im not suppost to be in
there so i cant spend a lot of time in there filming.

@QUADsK8ER97 because its almost impossible to get parts for and newer bike
has more technology that make them better....i got a 1986 kx125 and tried
to get parts and it was too hard so bought a 1997 kx125 and i should be
gettin a 2001 yz125 saturday......try to get the newest possible=less
problems
@KX125rider12 and stop being so cocky cause u got a newer kx125, i hate
fags like u who r cocky cause they have a bike in the first place, and cant
ride for shit, and go online and brag about it cause u think ur hot shit.
learn to ride first then u can talk shit.
plastics were from UFO. I think they discontinued them for the 1985. You
can try getting them from babbits online oem parts but im sure theyre
pretty pricey. i sold the bike last year i regret it though it was a great
bike
@Sledneck966 noo the old one rusted really bad for some reason so he just
remade one just like the stock one, i actually watched the mechanic fab it
himself this used to be my frends bike before i bought it
@KX125rider12 first of all just cause its old doesnt mean its crap, id
rather have this then ur gay bright purple bike. this is and old school
bike, so shut the fuck up and go eat a dick bitch.
@prod564 shut the fuck up im not dumb i needed a bigger bike u cunt and i
sold the rm85 last year i didnt have a dirtbike for a while and i bought
this from my frend he was sellin it cheap
Dude, i have the exact same bike, but i have aftermarket kx stickers on it.
i just got it repainted. and just put a new ignition kit on it. and a new
seat cover. i love it. GO OLD BIKES.
Anyone who wants to know where to get the older KX plastics, I found a guy
named Mark and he runs NIGHTMARE RACING.com All things Kawasaki and he is
cool and priced good...check it out!
I had a kx '86, and a kx '89 (both 125) The the sound spins perfectly fine
on your bike there! It's a dynamite! Treat it well on the dirt, and you
beat the kx 2010s (125)
@Sledneck966 they used the old one to look at to match it and im pretty
sure they used the same internals they really just fabbed a new outer part
which was rusted
Good explanation my friend, i also check it like this but instead of push
and pull the food i keep it still pressed against the crankcase and turn my
flywheel back and forth because i think you make the most natural movement.
This way you can check even on a quick way if you have bigend wear or
piston clap even without taking the head off just by turning the flywheel
in a fast manner back and forth
Tell ya what...ill watch u guys...just ran into a shit load of tools strickly for go karts and bikes and ect. Aint nothing but time...trust me..I got three motors here....one will become one...lol
+Lavert Powers Well no you can't and with all respect don't take the engine apart because it's way over your head. The connection rod is pressed with huge force into the crank and the crank is placed between 2 crankcases (engine) and you have to take the crank out of the engine if you want to press the connecting rod out of the crank so you have to split these 2 cases from eachother. It's a pretty high job to do especially if you want it back together also.
+Lavert Powers Nope, unless you have the world's tiniest hands and can get the world's tiniest socket wrench in there. You're gonna have to pull the case apart for it.
raced nick down the stright, i lost the powerband lol, couldnt hear my bike... next time ill keep my head lower, and listen harder lol. my bike is sotck besides the ...
U weren't even in powerband u had way more rpm then that. And I have an rm.
u should smoked him if u road ur gears out like a 2 stroke. The rm sounded
like he was in band
Yeah, it is hard to set the camera angle correctly. If you aim too high,
there is no bike reference, and you get the feeling you are floating along
really fast. The videos that just look at the ground are especially tough
to watch. I mostly just post them for the other guys and to show conditions
at the riding area. Time for you to get a bike. I just shoehorned my CR500
engine into a newer aluminum framed chassis, loving it (the black bike seen
in later videos).

This the VERY WORST video of 2 Stroke bikes I have EVER seen. The music
completely RUINS it. We want the sound of the bike, NOT hideous noise
pollution. I have a YZ125 and a CR 500 and ride them for many reasons but
mostly because they sound so good. Having their exquisite scream drowned
out in this video is sacrilege.
Extreme Downhill Kawasaki KX125 mountain bike with Rohloff Speedhub gearbox
This used to be a 1991 Kawasaki KX125H until I took out the engine and sold it to someone who had just rebuilt a much newer engine and blew it up on its first ...
As you're only going up 25cc, the gearing should stay about the same.
Gearing is easy to work out. Just calculate the ratios between the drive
sprocket and the driven sprocket and compare them to the standard set-up.
If I need to alter the ratio then I increase or decrease the number of
teeth on whichever sprocket it's easiest to replace with either an
off-the-shelf gearbox sprocket or a custom made/off-the-shelf rear wheel
sprocket.
