Nice video. I have a question. My invoices include Shipping and Tax. I do
not charge any extra for Shipping, so it's not taxable. Having the Tax line
after the Shipping line, gives one the impression that the Shipping is
taxed. Is there any way to have the Tax line above the Shipping line?
I want to fill in the project box which i see in the preview, however, as
soon as I close the preview window I no longer see it. I only see the P.O
number and terms boxes... but no project.. help?????

even need to learn how to do the basics with entering data. you can see how
this is done by watching the CHIMPKEY LIGHT demo on youtube. hope you enjoy

Would you happen to have a video on how to set up a budget? I am trying to
set up a budget for a church. In our paper budget we had the main item
(such as utilities) assigned a number (such as 2000). Then each sub-item
(such as power 1995, water 1996 and sewer 1997) another number. Each change
in the sub-number would the automatically subtract from the main item. Some
main items, such as Sunday School, may have 10 or 15 sub-items that makes
up the main item.
QuickBooks is the shitiest thing i have ever came across with.I bought the
book and the CD's of quickooks for $120 and after using for 1 month my
quickbooks crashed and they want me to pay another $100 to fix my
troubleshoot.REMEMBER.you have to pay separately for quickbooks itself and
if you come across some problem;separate for that.I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND
anyone else to use it,.
Great video! Very well done. Quick question -- when you use the Make
Deposits window to show the money going into the account, the check
register shows the deposit with nothing in the Payee field. Is it a problem
to put "Deposit" in the Payee field? Or do you always keep that field blank?

Good stuff. I used a more advanced ERP system, but noticed that most job
postings ask for Quickbooks experience. It seems like an intuitive and easy
to learn program, and this was a good, clear video to show me what to
expect. Thanks!
very good video, though I wish it could zoom so we could see closer to the
screen. I just finished learning about Quickbooks and am considering on
becoming an accounting clerk. It's a cool software program.

Invoice and Payments are 2 separate things Invoice = The total amount owed
Payments Received - Any payment paid towards that invoice. In this case, we
had a total invoice of $4500. Prepayment was made at $1500. Leaves a
balance on the invoice for $3000. When you buy a house at $400k and make a
down payment of $50k, you have a mortgage of $350k. Same idea. Make sense?
I require a payment in advance based on a support package agreement.
Initially, I send them an invoice for $1500 which is the balance the client
will apply his future invoices to. Since I am starting with the zero
balance and I have to invoice them to get my payment. What happens that
initial invoice balance?
So... the customer got invoiced for the entire amount, even though they
already paid $1500. It seems to me that they would need to note the deposit
in the invoice, and have a total for the invoice of $3000. How do you do
that?
