This was sad part of the movie. But the saddest part was Lalloo comes back so excited to see her but then he enters her funeral. Most shocking scene I've seen when someone founds out someone has died without knowing it. It's weird that that the directors made a mistake for not putting a oxygen mask on Pooja. Every patient would be wearing an oxygen mask in death situations. But still it's a classic movie.

@kettyvideos2010 I know it may seem pretty trivial, especially in a movie, but it is possible. She wasn't paying attention to where she was walking and tripped. People have died falling from stairs much smaller than the huge staircase in this movie. I do think that it was a little overdone and she could have been saved, but this is definitely still possible.

@madhu633 It's funny because I"m watching this movie for the first time since i was younger, and yeah i can see how overly dramatic/non realistic that scene was, but when i was first watching it it was soo real and sad.I guess scenes like that were the charm of old school bollywood.

statistics show that the a larger number of die from slip trips and falls rather than anything more dangerous because of the higher occurences of slips ... people can crack their neck or spinal cord or just even hurt it little and its instant death ...

@madhu633 - Its a head injury. Brain is the most sesitive part in the body. It is true, one can die easily with a head injury, if not, one can loose vision, memory or body fuctionality. You should try it some time!

@madhu633 Well u can die if u fall from stairs. It depends what do you injure. If you injure ur head u may die. Didn't u hear about natasha richardson who just dies after she hit her head ? It is possible

@madhu633 No way, I think the death scene is fine. It depicts perfectly the unpredictability of life and death. As it is, a lot of ppl think this scene is too sad already :(

this is really stupid. She just falls down the stairs while going to pick up the phone and dies? Atleast they should have made it a dramatic death.
