why would this stand hurt your wireless !? .... its made of metal which
means that if anything its going to improve and amplify wifi...... mac
users ............
+techzone I thought that was dumb as well.. The base of that particular laptop is metal anyway... and people put it down on tables etc. so how would it interfere with the wifi connection? The guy just has no clue what he's talking about.
Ah sorry if you took that as offensive, I envy you mac users for fact that you guys get better 3rd party accessory support. I just though for a fairly large youtuber it was kinda dumb to make a statement like that.
+techzone Don't blame most us mac users on one guy dude... I'm guessing he doesn't realise this himself but the Mac's chassis is already 'wireless' to begin with.
Will avoids the perils of hunching over a laptop with a new laptop stand that's now on Kickstarter. The Roost isn't out yet, but Will's been testing a pre-production ...
People are allowed to dislike technology all they want. They're even
allowed to dislike very specific pieces of technology. However, the people
I see who dislike the google glass most vigorously attribute their dislike
to either aesthetics, privacy concerns, or simply that it's not a fully
functional super computer you wear on your head. I'm all for constructive
criticism, but I'm very anti-hate. My comment was directed at people who
see Will wearing Glass and just all-caps DOUCHEBAG.
I presented it as an opinion, not fact. But if you want facts about what
Google is all about and how you are it's product, then only you have to
take off your fan-boy glasses and look what they are doing. I will not try
and please fan-boys because they don't usually stand open for reason,
therefore I will not provide you with facts you probably will ignore
anyway. My opinion on the true nature of Google makes me punch people who
wear glass and refuse to take it off in my company.
So according to you people aren't allowed to disagree with or dislike
emerging technologies without being labeled as old, ignorant and scared?
I'm not sure this channel is right for you, McJaews. If you were an avid
viewer of this channel you would have seen on numerous occasions while Will
or Norm are conducting reviews they complain about the devices they are
reviewing and sometimes even recommend that you don't buy it. McJaews, your
pride and ignorance is astounding.
Well it works with a Macbook Air, but it doesn't show how it would work
with a laptop where the monitor hinge would work differently. Notice that
the macbook air's screen slides down to cover the back of the laptop. Looks
like this is the ideal method for the hooks he uses to fix it in place, but
how would it work with a screen that hinges above the body, like is common
in a bunch of mobile workstations? Curious to see how that'll work :)
this would not hold any of my 5 laptops. pretty bad design flaw of how the
stand holds the laptop; not every laptop is going to have that gap between
the lid and base. in fact, i'd like to see anyone with an extended battery
try to use this stand. also this requires a separate keyboard and mouse, or
the angle of the keys would give you horrible wrist problems. only buy this
if you spent 600 dollars on your coffee making apparatus.
i know you presented it as an opinion. you were being irrational and
unnecessarily hostile since the beginning, and you have seemingly no true
evidence to back up your claims. i never gave my own opinion of glass, so i
dont see how you can assume i am a "fan-boy". "But if you want facts about
what Google is all about and how you are it's product" elaborate. they at
least seem to care somewhat about the consumer.
You people who bitch about the Google Glass sound like grumpy parents that
bitch about young people with their cell phones. You sound old, ignorant,
and scared. If you're one of those people who hate new technology and want
to dismiss it without letting it have a go at catching on, maybe this
channel is not for you. I heard the Amish lifestyle is very rich in fresh
air and honest labor.
I can't bloody watch this with that fucking Google glass pointing at me all
the time. Not only is it fucking Google glass, it's bloody orange, this
most awful colour in the world. Take off that shit when doing a video, it
does not add anything to the video nor to your eyesight. It's rude.
I have a cheaper alternative to stop any shoulder/neck pain that you might
incur from hunching over your laptop: When using your laptop keep your back
straight and neck relatively straight (compared to your back). You'll thank
yourself 40 years from now.
Never seen a collapsible one? What like the bakkerelkhuizen Q2?
amazon-co-uk/computers-accessories/dp/B000H4WCSW folds down to the
thickness of a thin A4 pad, size of A4 paper. So perfect for carrying in a
folio or laptop case. :/ been out for years.
You have to listen. This is meant for situations where you dont want to
carry 2 kilos of high quality literature with you. Anyway it has about 10
times more donations than it needs, so you are not forced to support this
product in any possible way :)
i'd say this is much more useful for more active hobbies/jobs that might
require working in a standing position while using a laptop for reference
or quick access to communication and information. i can definitely see this
being beneficial.
I bought something very simmilar to that from Fry's electronics for less
than 60 dollars. Shop around there are other opportunities for the same
thing already on the market (sorry if this ruins your plug for someones
product) just sayin
