Many thanks for this. We've bought an old second hand one, to heat the
house and to cook with , with the aim of getting electricity bills down.
We're using wood, but haven't yet fitted the flue, so this is very helpful.
So far, we can't seem to get the heat, using firewood, to get it hot enough
to cook or heat the house, I think the thermostat might not be working. Do
you have any idea of what we can do to get it hotter? So far, (we've had it
going only twice) the heat just takes the edge off the cold only in the
kitchen.
Hi Lucia. Keep the damper open about a 1/3 and the draught on the bottom open about 1/2 untill it gets up to temp approx 200 deg is the ideal heating and cooking temp. Then close it down to maintain temp. But theyre all individual and take a bit of gettin used to but they certainly a house a home..
Range Cooker Review: Kenwood CK 304 FS
My duel fuel range cooker. Currently set up for gas bottles. Electric fan oven. Max oven temperature or 225C.
Hi Marvin, I'm looking at getting one of these myself but need a couple of
bits of info that Kenwood and Curry's seem unable to provide! I need to
know the power rating ot wattage of the oven and also whether it is hard
wired or a plug in type. Would you happen to know this information? Many
thanks
