Resurrection of the John Deere LT133 (Update Video)
Sorry that this is such a long video, there was just a LOT to go over with this tractor, it turned out to be a bit of a project. I dare y'all to try and watch it till the end.
Nice, I currently have a L110 same motor but 4.5 more HP. The worst thing
JD ever did was put the B&S in the 100 series... Hence why I got the
L110... Kohler Engine. 366 Hours and no major problems yet and hopefully
none for a while yet as I cant afford to replace it at the moment, But next
machine will be a 455 or better. Check out my channel 8300Deere, I have
heaps of videos I have taken on the farm.
I agree with you, I hate the Intek series motors. Having owned an LA150 I'm not a big fan of the 100 series tractors, but to put the Kohler's in the older ones was a smart idea. Just wish they would keep using Kohlers in some of the bigger ones. A 455 is a great tractor to have and I hope you can find one. Will definitely check out your channel. Thanks for the comment.
They aren't too fond of it. They could never imagine why anyone would even
want TWO tractors. Unfortunately they will never understand. I've had four
tractors at my house at one time and nowadays my dad tells me we only have
room for two. I could fit 3 in my shed and 3 in the garage and still have
plenty of room. To be honest I just don't think they care that I take the
time to work on and learn about these things.
+Ben Kempa Lol. The old garden tractors are pretty simple to work on and if they were taken care of in the past, they don't require much work cause the parts last 30 years before needing replaced. Unlike all these newer X series I see going back to the dealer for major repairs. I know you have one but I think you have one of the last good ones. I wouldn't buy a later generation X728-X748 or one of the new X730-X750 series. I like the older X728-X748 and the X485-X585 series when they had mechanical 4WD.
My parents wouldn't let me spend the money on one! Haha I'm not too mechanically inclined and I would end up getting frustrated and give up. Something not even MTF can help me with haha
13$ for a john deere carb rebuild they have really cheapend since i bought
my last one. I spent 80$ for a rebuild on my 216 only to end ip replaceing
the carb for 230$. I tend to steer away from jd stuff because it tends to
cost more. Nice vid man good work with that deck i have to weld up the one
for my 110.
$80 to rebuild the carb on your 216? That's nuts. It shouldn't matter whether it's a Carter or a Walbro carb, the K series on those tractors share both types. They aren't that expensive, I bought a rebuild kit for my 210 for $15 and a new carb for it would cost about $75. Just have to know where to get the parts from. Only in a rare case should you have to pay what the Deere dealer asks, they are out of their minds with most prices.
Go get Ford F-150 want it. When I got the Snapper last year, I worked on it
and it works. Couple days later, hate to say this GONE. Steering did not
turn all the way to the left. Now I have a cub cadet works awesome after
installing the black bar in the back from the snapper.
The LX176 was here and gone in about a month and I wish I could have kept it. It was a great machine but the mower eck was too small and I needed the money. For the next few years I'll just work the hell out of the 210.

Great video!! Just one question my 1939 A does not have a nut on the
outside of the brake drum. My brakes are working fine, but I always
wondered how I'd get the drums off if I would ever need to.
HI I have the exact same unit. It wouldn't start.... I changed out the
solenoid and it ran great for two uses??? Now it seems to be doing the
exact same thing. Wont even click? My neighbor wants to jump start it but
that will not solve my problem. Any ideas on what else it could be?
+tanyakohlmeyer test the battery and check the small fuse behind the engine
