Time is a confusing thing...
Seems like we European do live in the past (I guess that's why we're short
on innovations at the moment)
Did actually watch this on May 3rd, so I missed the hint.
Have a great weekend my friend and do something, not regarding the tools
you need, but the tools you got.
Great job on the 'limited' tools project, best part for me has been as you
almost forgot to mention the drill :-)
May the 4th be with you and your projects the whole year long mate.
Greetings from Good Old Germany
Peter
+PeteTGIF Time zones confuse me at times as well. I did publish this on 4th may local time ... lol ... thanks for watching from the past... lolI like how I was going to hand carve something only to realise I don't own any hand carving tools... lol
+Chris Cute (Make The First Cut) lol thanks buddy... Darth Vader required all the resources of the Empire ... cheap ass kiwi just needs a jigsaw some mdf, a drill and some bubble gum lol thanks for watching.
+Wood 'n' Stuff w/ Steve French I don't have much of this fancy gear you speak of on the best of days ... lol ... but you are right... If I decided to use all my gear for this project, it probably would still turned out the same (ish) ... thanks for watching.
Cool videos sir. Could I recommend a video discussing GoPro mounting both
inside and outside the cockpit? I just got a GoPro and want to record some
of my own Stearman flying for critique
The problem with tour theory on looking thru window is, when in backseat it
changes. Ive got lots of stearman time, look straight and use your
perifreal
Lol. Another issue I have is when "S" turning to taxi, my front seat passengers lean their head way out to look. I cant see!!! So I end up making exagerated S turns........ Ugg. LolBTW....... I'm the same guy that offered you a ride on the T-6 Texan on Face Book. I enjoy your videos, I sent you an email :-)
+2QOOL808 Yes, I'm editing the video now from my backseat check out, and Dennis talked about that exact issue of having to deal with newbie passengers getting in the way at the wrong times :)
Lol. Little difrent from the back. I give scenic rides. Seems like everyone wants to put their arms out of the cockpit on short final. Lol. That makes it teal hard to see
+2QOOL808 I think we're saying the same thing. I'm using peripheral, while ignoring the central field of view, which isn't much (although admittedly more than you you can see from the back). But yes, I've recently been checked out in the back seat, and was able to do it using the same technique.
Hey flightchops! No surprise here, just another amazing and educational
video. I'm a 14 year old living not to far from where you operate (right in
Brampton), and I've been passionate about aviation ever since I was 6. I am
starting to look into getting my PPL. One question I have is what software
do you use for flight planning/during you flights? Things like weather and
whatnot. I've been curious about this for a while, and I would appreciate a
reply. You videos have always captivated me, and the fact that you operate
around the GTA is an added bonus! Thanks a lot!
+Nathan Chetram Very cool! I use ForeFlight all the way! I can't recommend it enough (and that is not just because they are a sponsor - I used the product for several years before hand) But you do need to learn old school methods for gathering the info as well.
Hey Steve, another great video! You're definitely talented at conveying
your experiences in flight through video production. I don't think I've
ever decided to quit watching any of your videos. By the way I just got
your card, patch and decal in the mail. Too cool man, too cool. You've
definitely gained a patron on patreon. Thanks for the card and great gifts.
Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next one!
+FlightChops I'm glad it made it as well. I actually began to accept the fact that you had forgotten about sending it lol. I was so excited when I saw the envelope! The feedback is much deserved my friend. I know these edits, as well as capturing the footage, is hard work. I'm so glad to see that it's paying off for you. It's good for you, and good for us viewers.
