Just discovering of Montreal and checking all their music videos. These are
all just fantastic! Awesome surrealistic music videos, great music! Guess I
found myself a new favourite band :)
Whatever Wanna-Be-Trendy "Of Montreal" do - they remain still a boring
S--T--Indie-F--K-Band!
Hey, if you want to do a proper Pop-Song, find first a Melody!
(Pat, Switzerland)
"He's just a slutty little flirt and sister he's only gonna hurt you (watch
yourself)
Ladies I'm screaming out to you from the depths of this phallocentric
tyranny
My self-conceptions awaiting your invasion clumsy penetration punishment
(Oh yeah) When the hope of another wet nightmare is all we have to live for
Can't help it if it's true, don't wanna be your man, just wanna play with
you
I can't help it if it's true, don't wanna be your man, I just want to play
with you
He practically built the eight-bit empire and now he occupies the blur as
well
When asking why their kisses are sorrowful remember the howl of our first
verse
(I'm a mental little star)"
+Thrackerzod Ph'phlegeth Somewhat, I think it's about a girl he wants to bang, but she's after a guy who wants to get serious. As a guy himself though, he's warning her she'll get hurt because he knows what they're "all about"- in other words, he'll pull her in to get serious but he's going to leave her for the next bitch. And that's why he's awaiting her "clumsy penetration punishment", and the statement about the wet nightmare might be a play on 'wet dream' but the reality is that it's a nightmare because people keep chasing "the hope of another" one, when they don't want to commit but act like they do, so he's basically promoting to her friends with benefits, and when she does get hurt in the relationship, the kisses will seem sorrowful because she'd subconsciously be bothered by the false affection, which just hurts her."He practically built the eight-bit empire and now he occupies the blur as well" Kind of confuses me though, it seems like it might mean "yeah, sure all the stuff he's accomplished makes him look great, but now he occupies the blur between the greatness and the emotional distress in your life"
+jksbeg5 I'm still trying to understand these lyrics, but I think I might agree with the speaker... He likes this girl and wants to protect her. Not romantically, it's not about how he's a guy and she's a girl, but just because he thinks she's a fascinating person. Gender shouldn't be a factor in their interactions. He laments, though, the fact that gender does play such a big role in social interactions.Do you agree with my interpretation of the lyrics? I'm not very good at this sort of thing, so I like to discuss it to determine if my interpretation is viable or not.
+Alicia FerraraYou should not let comments on the internet affect you, many times people say outrageous things, but they don't even really understand the implications of their statements or they are just being hyperbolic or getting carried away on their rhetoric or trying to cause emotional impact on the reader or being cynical or trolling. That's kind of the issue with communicating in the internet, it's virtual and through text written by anonymous avatars, the majority of people are not as "mean" as their writing on the interwebs may suggest. So go forth my brethren and be weird all around, we only have one life and I'll be dammed if I'm not going to have fun, the surreal kind, of my very own design. Never taking others, nor myself, so seriously that I may forget, to laugh at the absurdity of it all, right until the end.
+pineappleskin No their not! the first time i ever hear their music it sung to my soul its not for the sake of being weird there's different types of people out there not everyone makes music they way that you are taught to by society. There are INFINITE styles of music that have never even been created!!!! That's why when people see something different they assume that they just want attention but that's not so! You don't see someone with schizophrenia and say they just want attention so why say that to an artist? Please don't assume these things it makes me very sad to see that this is how people judge others and it makes me worry about how i act in society becasue people will assume the natural way i am is an act to get attention! Open your mind life is not a one way street!!!!!! >:'(
+pineappleskin Well it's very obviously music, and the video though seems to be just being weird to be weird as animation does a lot, but the song has a rather obvious meaning if you just pay attention to the lyrics.
+pineappleskin i really don't get why people say this kind of things about music like this, this is basically pop funky music , but with some peculiarities. How can't you find something musical about it? I would understand that if this was some really experimental sounds like undeterministic music, noise music , musique concrete or some barely musical jazz fusion cacophony , but this song has pretty standard rhythms and chords, I mean if a song has 4/4 backbeat how the hell can you say this is something weird and non-musical ffs man , that beat is as pop as it gets, it even uses classic drum machine samples.
+pineappleskin Have you listened to the entire Skeletal Lamping album? b/c this song makes much more sense in the context of the rest of the album. I agree that there are some weird lines but they still somehow make sense to me in some psychadelic way.Over all I believe that there are much weirder songs, even by Of Montreal.
+Antonio Abello with regards to your last statement, you're right on the latter, but not on the former. i do not listen to a lot of music of this genre, and it's apparently showing.
Man, this is just a straightforward funky song with some psychedelic touchesYou'd need to listen to more weird music because you clearly don't know what weird is. This indicates you don't listen to a lot of music nor understand very well what psychedelia is about
yea, and randomly talking about his concord on the launcher and how ninjas prove it right isn't weird. sorry that i thought a song you guys like is weird; seems that i struck a nerve.
Can't help it if it's true/ Don't wanna be your man / I just wanna, play with you (play with play with play with you)SO FUCKING WEIRD HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!! WHOA!!!!!!!! THESE LYRICS ARE JUST SO. FUCKING. WEIRD.
the song contains a lot of nonsense lyrics and random sound effects, and the video consists of everything one might see in an acid-induced nightmare - it's kinda weird. also, if i think this song is weird, i don't see why i would listen to music that is weirder.
If you think this song is weird then you really need to listen to more weird music

+Lucas Cruz You mean Metallica wouldn't think to do this. They could easily turn around and cover this. Don't sell them short. That being said this is awesome and very creative.
+pilsen SG ffs i leave my mate on my laptop for one second, he writes one comment as a pisstake and everyone loses their shit. I dont know who the hell any of you are and frankly i dont give a shit what you have to say, pack it in, go outside or something.

Hello Mr Jonesy ! The 50s wiring is great when you drop the volume as you
say the bright side (clearer cleaner high)becomes even more present ! Good
that you shared it on you tube
Thank you Mr Jonesy ! :-)

+PK_101 no, disliking undertale is still fine but as I said, if you cannot possibly see why millions of people love a game I encourage you to look harder until you do. You ,at the very least, should be able to understand undertale and its components and if you do not like it, then analyze what you did not like about it (which I have still yet to hear from you) and make sure to avoid such thing when making your own game. At this point, if you are not willing to do at least that (You don't have to like undertale as I said, simply understand it) then at that point is where I'd say you shouldn't be making a game. There is something to learn from every game, especially hugely popular games like undertale and even stuff like clash if clans. I believe that if you want to make a truly good game, you have to anylize where others went wrong or right and craft something out of that. I mean could you imagine if every game designer just decided to throw out everything of generations prior and start from scratch? There would be no advancment in video games at all.
+PK_101 I'm really starting to get the feeling that you are a meaningless hater, I've asked you twice what you thought was wrong with undertale and twice you have not answered me. If you cannot see and at least understand why millions of people love a game and refuee to at the very least try, I dare say that you really shouldn't be making a game.
i think if i made this video today i might not have included the undertale anyway, not because i don't like it (i thought it was pretty clever), but simply because everyone has heard of it already. i wanted this video to sort of promote unknown indie games, and undertale was the 14th best-selling game on steam last year.
I am going on game maker, and I think making a game where having a lot of pretty pixel art may just take a long, and I mean a LONG while! So, I can't blame Toby Fox for that, and I actually like the black and white color fighting sprites, it just feels very original to me, and I kind of like that! And yes, I know some things(If not all of them) in the undertale fandom are very stupid. But lets face it...ALL FANDOMS ARE STUPID! It's okay to be a fan of whatever you like, just don't end up in the fandoms. (And this is coming from a frickin 12 year old that uses her dads account.)
There are some of the reasons I can get, no game won't charm everyone with dialogue and people have different tastes but that doesn't make it a bad game, just one you didn't like. As for the art style I can get why one wouldn't like it considering how often it changes, I could understanding how it would be displeasing to the eye. I do have to challenge you on coloring in the battle sprites though because you can only expect so much from one guy but I see your point. The premise while I agree is generic the approach is not, undertale gives a unique view on common rpg tropes and morality in a way that is in no way generic and that's just a fact I haven't seen a game tackle rpgs in the same way as undertale. I ask again, have you played this game all the way through? At the very least complete the true pacifist ending. I will say that while I thought the game was fun playing through the neutral, it's the genocide and pacifist runs that really imprinted this game in my mind and i've yet to meet someone who played through one of those endings and could not at least respect undertale's story even if they didn't like the bullet hell gameplay if you haven't played through one of those ending I highly recommend you do so to at least understand where all the hype comes from and realize that it's not a bad game even if it's not your type of game. And lastly it really bugs me that a lot of your dislike of the game comes from the fanbase, yes it's shit but jeez no game "encourages" their fan base to constantly reference it, they reference it because it's so stuck in their minds that everything reminds them of it. I like to stray away from blaming the game for a fanbase and instead play the game for myself to see if the game is worth the hype. If you played the game through the pacifist or genocide runs I respect your opinion but if one hasn't played a game fully I feel like one doesn't have a right to call it bad but I guess you don't have to listen to me but hating on something you don't know of is just sad...
+blueyoshi1124 Well for me, I don't like many of the visuals. Having a pixel style can make the game beautiful, but many of the environments weren't as good as others. Then battle sprites are pretty good, I just wish he bothered to color the so someone else didn't have to do it in a mod. The story is kinda meh... It comes together sort of, but it's kind of generic and not interesting. Just look at it-Humans vs Monsters, monsters go underground, then your a human who somehow "falls" underground. Then all the random shit happens. I also am not amused by dialogue. The battle dialogue is kinda eh, but the rest of the dialogue is kind of cheesy in my opinion. Now what I hate the most is how it encourages the shitty fanbase to make references everywhere. I know the shitty fanbase shouldn't have to do with my opinion of the game, and it doesn't, but what I hate it how the most generic things exist in the game, so the fans make references of those generic things pop up in the real world. For example, the stupid character "Flowey"... The flower... I literally see undertale fans Ina comment section because the word flower is used once in the video. And I hate how Toby had to name characters from fonts, not the fonts can't be mentioned without undertale fans ruining it.That's about it for today, tune in next time on "Why Ludwig hates games"!
I mean have you played undertale? It's actually a brilliant game and even someone who hates it for gameplay reasons but played it all the way through should still be able to appreciate it as a craft. If your judging it on the fanbase, while I see where you're coming from I always say don't judge a game by its fanbase.
How to Animate Lower Third Text Backgrounds using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10
Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 Tutorial: How to make a lower thirds Text description for a video move on and off the screen using a semi-transparent ...
Im using 13. Is there a way to make the preview video head move with the
one in the pan panel so i can see my changes? I'm unable to properly see
changes in the preview window without clicking over and scrubbing the main
timeline.
Movie Studio 13 and your explanation is exactly what I am needing. Trying to make a nice Text box background (PiP), Text, and another picture overlayed on the video to cover chat box. I record gameplay for how to videos. I have to say this software is much better than Windows Movie Maker but the learning curve has been decently steep for the first day or so. Thanks for your quick response!
Which version of Movie Studio or Vegas Pro are you using ?If you are using Movie Studio Platinum 13, any Video Track can be used for Video Overlay. There are only 2 types of tracks - Video and Audio.Older versions of Movie Studio had simply named regular old Video Tracks as Video Overlay, to give you the idea of what to do.Right-click any Video Track and select "Insert Video Track", if you want to add more tracks. The alpha symbol icon in track description box turns on track compositing. Set to "Multiply Mask" on top video track, if you want to blend 2 video tracks together.
I saw your tutorial on SOny Movie Studio Platinum 13 and it was great. But
recently, I just borrowed a Sony Vegas Pro 12 DVD tutorial video from my
friend. Is it possible to use that video tutorial to learn how to use Sony
Movie Studio Platinum 13?
Which tutorials should I watch to learn the entire software for Sony Movie Platinum 13? Do you have a playlist, can you direct me to it and in which order should I watch it from? So far I've seen and practice the entire 40 minute beginner Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 that you provided. What's next and thanks.
The core functions for both programs are the same. However Vegas Pro is Pro grade, so it contains many more functions than the consumer level Movie Studio Platinum. So you will be able to learn some stuff but not everything.Watch my tutorials !They work in most versions.
You are an absolute genius. Easy to understand, and the exact tutorial I
was looking for (after watching 10 that didn't explain this exact effect)
thanks a bunch :)
Part 2 How 50s Wiring Works On My SG by Jonesyblues.com
Visit my Jonesyblues.com website or Call 1-574-540-9777 for more details A demo showing how the volume and tone controls work on my own SG with the best ...
i have installed this 50's wiring and i know what the problem is (at least
for me). it works exactly as jonesy"s is working but if your amp volume is
too low when you roll off the tone on the guitar the volume seems to drop a
lot. maybe try to raise your amps volume.
There is a misconception that with 50's wiring that your volume drops when
you roll of your tone pot, I demonstrated that that is not true. Feel free
to make your own video. :)
Do you get a lot of hum since you put in the 50s wiring

Thanks for your comments. Yeah I normally use a lot of paper in oil caps
and do like the smooth warm tone they have, but I was going for a little
more raw 70's tone with this set-up. The ceramic disc caps I have in this
guitar are the larger vintage nickel sized CRL .02's, they are kind of hard
to find vs the tiny little disc caps that come stock in a lot of Gibsons.
Thanks for these videos, I found them on one of the guitar forums when
searching about the wiring in my Gibson Midtown Custom. Gibson call it
Memphis Tone Circuit, but it turns out it's just 50s wiring done a slightly
different way. I was going to rewire it modern but think I'll stick with
the 50s. Lovely tone btw!
Reassuring that you are using ceramic caps as opposed to the
expensive, harder to get PIOs.Its a really nice sound at all vol. levels
esp. straight into the amp - must look into sourcing a windsor!
Love this sound. As soon as I land a job, I am getting these pickups.
@jonesyblues how do you think these pickups will behave in a Les Paul
Special compared to the SG? Thanks for video
