+Bylga Sadly, no. Everything is specific to the motherboard being used. I haven't done this for quite a while, but there were certain boards that could use the same GPU. The central processing unit (CPU) is specific to the board you're working on and only that board.

+Austin Souslin Dude. You're speaking to me like I'm an idiot. I realise now I failed to mention my plan. Let me spell it out. I will be getting a 1.1 console with the 1024 k TSOP. The TSOP chip with have a 4 way BIOS with the switch mod to choose between the 4 256k banks. Bank 1 will be IND BIOS 5003. Bank 2 will be same with VGA patch. Bank 3 will be the debug console BIOS. Bank 4 debug with VGA patch. All of those BIOS are 256k in size. 256k x 4 = 1024. Now on the X3 chip I will have the X3 BIOS built for that chip. (I know I said X2 5035 but forgot the X3 chip has it's own X3 versions.) There will be 2. One standard, other VGA patched. Any leftover space will be for a Linux BIOS to allow native install and boot. I'll be using multiple HDD. Since the drives will all be SATA I'll use a SATA data cable switch to select between different HDD. (Found a 4 drive data cable switch.) HDD 1 will be 2 TB and running XBMC on the 2 Xecuter BIOS. Linux BIOS will run on HDD 2. HDD 3 will be for the debug dash. HDD 4 I'm not sure about yet. It may be what I use with the IND BIOS and another dash of some sort. Other plans will be to replace the PSU with a higher power unit (I know how to hook an ATX supply up. Go with one of those DC to DC units and run the console off a 12V DC supply.), VGA mod, and much more I'm sure to think of once I get to building it. I might even make it sort of portable with a built in LCD display. That's my plan and I hope to do it before all hard to get pieces dry up. (Things like the Xecuter X3 chip.)

+Austin Souslin It will come with the Xecuter 5035 BIOS on the X3 chip. If not I know how to flash the BIOS on both TSOP and modchips.

+Austin Souslin Console is dead so no need to worry. I have plans to get a replacement soon that has all the mods I want that are hard to do. It'll have Xecuter 3 with LCD, 2 TB HDD, 128 MB RAM, and a 1 GHz CPU mod. Since the CPU upgrade in the dead console uses an adapter sitting on a socket soldered to the board and the console I'm after will have the same socket for the 1 GHz CPU I'll be able to easily swap the Tualatin in place of that 1 GHz CPU. That's the plan.

+Vro18 A guy I knew. We helped each other out a bit in the Xbox stuff. I sold him some stuff, he sold me some stuff. Not only did I get the Xecuter 3 from him but my debug console as well that I show in another video. Been quite some time since I messed with the original Xbox after the console in this video died. Board died. CPU and adapter lived so I might send it back to Trusty and have him move the stuff over to another board and even add another feature. If you remember the Friendtech consoles the had one that could be clocked to 1480 MHz with this same CPU. The Dream X 1480. The special thing about that console was a switch to cut every other clock instruction out essentially making it run at 740 MHz. The CPU is still clocked at 1480 but with it only doing every other instruction it runs at half speed making it act like a 740 clock. Original Xbox runs at 733 and some games are CPU clock dependent so having that mod allows those games to run pretty close to stock speed. Run 740 for games then flip to 1480 for emulation or media playback. Trusty as well as some other guys I knew a few years ago figured out how to clone that adapter Freindtech made allowing for the "clock speed switch". I will probably resurrect the console at some point with that upgrade as well as some other stuff to make an even better console than Freindtech ever dreamed of.That or forget this, take the Tualatin, get a second one, and get a dual CPU P3 board for a retro gaming PC. If I do that then I'll also try to get my hands on the most obscure GPU card ever created. Try and get a Voodoo 5 6000. Never released but around 1000 prototypes are rumored to have been made. The only graphics card ever made with 4 GPU chips. I want one just for the WOW factor. Maybe even water cool it, the CPUs, and do some major overclocking. I know of one guy who water cooled a Tualatin and managed to get it up to 1.8 GHz. I'd try and go for 2 GHz.

Um dude, you should seriously use an old gift card or credit card to remove excess TP before using solvents. Makes it easier and better. Also Arctic Silver is NOT electrically conductive. Quote straight from their website, "Arctic Silver 5 was formulated to conduct heat, not electricity."

@MalarticCommentarys Is it not loading due to overheating? If not it could be another problem. Also, changing out the thermal paste is normally the last method people try to fix overheating problems. Try removing the x-clamps and see if that helps. There are plenty of tutorials here on youtube

Dude I'm saying that you don't need to spread it around 100%, because if you spread it around like 80% it will spread around when you put on the heatsink. You misunderstood me, you tought I said that I didn't even spread the paste, which is untrue.

Well sometimes, but not usually, after applying the paste, you should try heating it up with a hair dryer or something, or just simple let the device, in the case the Xbox 360 run for a bit so it can properly bond with the heatsink and CPU/GPU.

you can spread the paste around and make a thin layer, I build custom pc's and you never want to ball the center, you get hot spots and your heatsink doesnt always spread the paste around properly.

Umm it doesn't, you use a card spreader, a lump of paste is not the way to do it, You do it your way, I'll do it the right way. Ever wonder why they started adding cards to thermal paste packs?

You don't need to spread it around at all. You will have air bubbles and if you spread it around and it leaks through the sides instead of it being conductive, it will be a heat insulator

If you spread out the past it makes air bubbles in the past and you wont get a good connection. Look at the razethew0rld video for how to apply it. =)

Spread the paste around only in a very small area of the chip. He did wrong, but you have to spread the paste just a little bit.
