NEWS: The F22 have at least 2 structural problems: - The F22 have cracks in
the aircraft's aft boom where the horizontal tail attaches to the fuselage
(more than 7 inch/18 centimeter cracks found). -The F22 have cracs in
"titanium casting" materials near the engine. A key reliability requirement
for the F-22A is a 3-hour mean time between maintenance, but right now is
LESS than 1 hour! The F22 is junk, its very unreliable!
I went on this "deployment" and the aircraft performed awesome! As far as
the stuctural elements, they must of figured them out years ago. I've been
in the program approx. 4 years now and haven't had to deal with that issue!
As far as maint. goes, its an airplane, it requires some work just like any
other. Any other questions, just ask, i'll try to answer the best I can.
thanks
Back in 70-72 we watched from the roof of our barracks on the hill as
RF-4's and SR-71 Habu's with afterburers take off from this very runway.
The B-52's had already been moved out. Oh, forget I said the SR-71. They
REALLY weren't there;). Charlies Taco's still there?
Good to meet a fellow Fightin' Eagle! Since you flew F-15's with the 27th
you should recognize the tail # in my screen name! Balls 35. I was DCC on
her from Jan 2002 to when we got rid of them!
