This was in the later part of 95. We deployed to Okinawa in July of 95.

@bisquik3006 the trackers have it a little easier than we did. no more
narrow ass LST's to aim for, look at the USS New Orleans. fucking stern is
wide as an end-zone. I used to dread my 8 months at Pendelton (twice) the
stumps SUCKED. But I was an east coast Marine. We would just have to deal
with the Bragg boys on the weekend when we would both try to claim Myrtle
Beach. They don't party like we used to back then brother. when a girl had
the choice of a Marine and an soldier, I got the pussy.

@bisquik3006 just once? spent most of your time at the stumps state-side? I
don't think I went a week without splashing at least one time the entire
time I was in. used to scare the hell out of my boys climbing back onto the
LST. Got real good at it, no one could handle the hog like me. The green
grunts were the best cause you could scare the hell out of them. go off a
little slow and shake em up real good. YAT YAS brother.

@MyMigel123 87? I was @ Schwab in 86/87, and rotated back in 89. EAS'd in
Nov. 89, was bravo co. SSgt. O'neal, Gunny Maldanaldo, Capt. Lardie.
Henoko, Kinville, Nago I miss that place too man. Would like to go back
once before I die, just as a civilian. The Okinawa people were pretty cool.
Were you there for typhoon Vera? If memory serves me right that was 86 or
87. That was a hell of a storm. Semper Fi brother.

@wvufanngarner We did our share of trax training, but not a lot of
splashing. I guess they didn't think we would be in the water in Iraq, lol.
Field ops got fun once I picked up Cpl. I was never stationed up in the
stumps, but I spent a lot more time than I wanted to up in that shit box.

I only got to do this once. I should have just signed up as a 0311. That's
most all the training we did anyway.

@wvufanngarner LOL. Army has never been any competition in any way,
especially with the split tails.
