BUT please don't describe things you don't like as "gay" because it just perpetuates a bunch of negative stereotypes that really aren't necessary. guitar is so much better in original version! james' vocal delicacy and simplicity is also way more charming than this 'correct' version. Choruses are just too much. America, always trying to make things better. The song was perfect. Why make a new version? Good try though.
