Well,if you think about it,a exhaust system on a turbo engine is really for sound control for the most part because the turbo creates its own back pressure,so really the more you open up a exhaust on a torb,the better,well at least until the turbo becomes uneffecient that is.

It's about a 15% loss with a manual transmission... Your right, it's about a 20% loss with an automatic transmission give or take but, you definitely lose more with an auto vs a manual. That guy at the dyno shop should have known that. I'm surprised he didn't. ??

If you listen closely he nails the HP estimate right on by saying "240....250". The loss is different on every car. I was the first person talking saying I thought it was around 220-240. Those guys are great and know their stuff for sure.

ESC was off. I was going to mention the paddle shifting mode for the dyno but I figured I'd let him try his methods first. Next time im in the shop i'll tell him to give it a shot doing it that way.

Tell him to cut the ESC off and use paddle shift. That would've gotten a bit more power out of the auto. Thats a mean ass sounding stock exhaust.

O.k so this thing is putting out decent hp,but what about torque,everybody alway forgets that this is what gives you your exceleration,not hp.

@ccbikeryder ROFL no, that's your 1,000$ catback exhaust, 500$ intake, and 1,000$ worth of tuning, etc. to make ~240 whp and 240 lb. ft.

whats funny is that in the 2.0T version, with ur basic catback exhaust and intake, the car pushes around 290 lbs.ft tq. and 250hp...

I seen 270 whp in another vid. Auto is good but when I buy my Gen coupe I want manual. To much hp loss in auto.

Also I forgot to mention guys this was with 87 octane gas. Premium should squeeze out a bit more hp also.
