so the camera is on all the time? but the head unit detects when the car is in reverse? i ask because i am getting a similar head unit and camera soon :-)

should of just used the power from ur reverse light the tit saves running cable to the front not only that camera is on when in reverse

+Tom Mawson You can't do that on a car with canbus system on it! and the camera does come in in reverse, because its using the canbus system!!!

Holy smokes!! That are horrible connections! Ever heard of shrink tubing? But else.. ThumbsUp, dude... I also would have taken the wire from the reverse light, and ground from the chassis. Much more closer to the cam..

thanks man. on this vehicle you cannot use the live from the reverse light. the can bus detects a different current and will turn off power to both the light and the camera .

This is not the problem. But before cranking the engine, get some gas in there or you will burn out the fuel pump.

Good tip, However he has no fuel being sent because relay was dead from Ignition fuse. Also keep gas tank half full or better if you really want to be nice on fuel pumps and clean those MAF sensors people :)
