Crazy UFO Footage During Police Helicopter Chase!

Taken by California's Long Beach Police Department's helicopter, this UFO seems to be releasing an unknown substance as it appears to sit there in the sky.

This is not a satellite entering our atmosphere nor is it a meteor. If it were, then we would have seen the angle of entry with a trail of debris falling behind it following that angle. The debris would only fall straight down if the object's trajectory was head-on to a person's field of view. However, we know this is not the case as the object moves quickly at a high rate of speed to the right. Hovering stationary then accelerating to a high rate of speed is more indicative of controlled action rather than uncontrolled atmospheric entry of a satellite or meteor, no?

I have eye witnessed this phenomena in 1992, along with15 or more motorists travelling west on hwy. 58 in Mojave, Ca. (I was in the Air Force stationed at Edwards A.F.B., Ca. I've seen it all...) I knew to be silent.( until finally seeing same shit on YouTube.) It was 5:30 P.M... It was brighter than the sun it seemed. At first I thought flares or collision but these fragments stopped falling then eventually regrouped and coasted INTO 35 M.P.H. Santa Anna winds.Reminded me of thing giving birth.

@michaelpkelly Thanks for that info. I must say, my 1st reaction is "it's a flare." But I recall similar reported 2nd,once it stops dripping it stays lit,which can happen with flares, but for THAT LONG? At the point where it appears to start moving I wondered if perhaps it was the HELICOPTER moving & producing that effect,but it seemed other objects moved too.What were the other lights? Finally,I get your point about the drip,but it LOOKS solid,u know? Can you explain that?Thanx 4 your insight!

@2107keith No!!!!!I'm not that lucky. Ha! Ha! I meant that I've seen alot of still classified experimental forms of propulsion. In the the Air Force I was a propulsion Specialist, and while at Edwards the Shuttle landed about 9 times 4 of those were seceret missions, almost got arrested when I pulled over to the side of the road to photoraph the shuttle one day after a seceret mission. I was extremely carefull of security, but they came out of nowhere.(Just got soiled shorts and a warning!)Ha!

I am a resident of Minnesota, and I have personally witnessed what appears to be the identical incident. While driving home one late evening, I saw something In the sky that did not look natural, I slowed the car down to get a better look at what I saw. At first, it appeared to be an airplane on fire, and flaming pieces coming off. Soon I noticed that it was "dripping" what looked like molten metal on fire. I have never seen anything like it before in my life, it sent shivers down my spine.

I am trained in the use of FLIR, which stands for Forward Looking Infra Red. It is not a normal camera in that, it sees in the infrared spectrum which is beyond human sight and the very fringes of what we call heat... infrared waves are emitted more from a warmer object. The camera is adjusted to the surrounding environment, i.e. average temperature range, etc. These cameras are $100,000 plus. They are VERY sensitive and can even see your own reflection on a wall, as if it were a mirror!

Honestly, I can't say "EVERY DAY," but I AM comfortable saying that at the least once a week I see a high speed chase, followed by a foot chase after some jack-ass crashes his car. See what I mean? In fact, I JUST saw this being talked about on a show quite recently, though which one escapes me. So, tho expensive, they're getting their moneys worth!

I can tell you right now, when laying on grass staring into the sky on a clear night in a low light pollution area, the shit you see is hard to explain. About 7 or so years ago I was laying in the grass out the side of my house with my cousin and we both noticed a star just falling, literally just moving slowly in 1 direction. But now I think about it, was probably a stationary satellite. I was like 12 when I saw it.

Ok... that "stuff" you see may be nothing falling off the craft. Remember this is a heat signature above an optical image. The white is hotter than dark... the light colored "stuff" could be moisture in the air that is being heated by the craft's propulsion system... much like a jet engine vapor trail would show up as a hot substance. This video is extremely interesting! I would like to see a professional analysis.

@UkTruthSeeker2009 A FLIR is a very expensive camera that pics up only heat sources in that vary in intensity. A human or object giving off heat will show up as red/yellow/white. White being the strongest heat source. The cool colors like blue and green would be colder areas. A FLIR can also be shot in black/white. White being the hottest.

I was walking my dog one evening and saw what I thought was a planet, glowing kinda reddish though and was thinking I know they call Mars the red planet but... when it started to do just what is seen here. Dripping what looked like something a flare will do but from a stationary glow in the sky. Next thing it does is starts to move and then disappears. No one around and I can't find anything about it in the papers or online until this. Still have no idea what it was but this was within the year.

At first it looks like a parachute flare flying. What you see dropping could be debris from the combustion. It's enhanced by the FLIR so it looks like shinning or something. But what makes this explanation impossible it's how ti accelerates to the horizon and dissapears. One could say it caught a jetstream or something or that the flare's combustion impelled the object, but it's too freaking fast for that explanation. I am speechless... Whatever it was, it's not easy to explain...

Did you actually watch the movie. A flare, really? What ever it is, it's moving really quick towards the end of the movie. Your explanation about the linear movement doesn't hold true as the helicopter is moving the wrong way (right) to make the object seem as if it's moving. Flare's are usually slowly falling right? this just sits there hovering. I understand you feel the need to debunk this video but at least come to the table with a decent argument mate.

Saw something almost identical a couple years back on Christmas eve when traveling to Pa. We got into Virginia and a friend of mine spotted a red light heading towards us and joked about it being 'Santa' lol but as it got closer the red changed to white then yellow then red and back to white and when it passed over us it started dripping just as the one in this video did. Not sure what it was but it was definitely something out of the ordinary.

Just amazing coverage for sure craft of unknown origin spewing something in the ocean. What intrigued me the most is when it zipped off at incredible speeds is a mirror image of the orbs I see around my place , they vary in size but from what I've noticed recently, they are able to completely camouflage themselves from IR...wild!!

I'd say its a flare because they shed magnesium as the burn and hover. The shooting off aspect might be explained in terms of the camera panning fast and not the flare moving because at the end you can tell that there seems to have been no linear movement.

What is real and what is not is the question, I have seen a really big UFO up close and watched as it did things no plane or helicopter could even get close to doing. If you are lucky enough to see what I saw you will never doubt again. I was with a friend and it still frightens him and he will not talk about it. While I would like to believe this is real, I'd like to point out that when people say it's a UFO, all they are saying is that it's an unidentified flying object, not an alien spacecraft. Since it is indeed a UFO, someone, if they took the time and resources, might be able to figure out that it is indeed something completely terrestrial. I'm not saying that it is, only that when ppl say UFO it doesnt mean its extraterrestrial.

@Atlbraves28 LOL, Oh yes it can! I've seen the EC130 with its FLIR pod in person. That FLIR camera is on a servo mechanism that allows it to move in all directions with a joy stick inside the chopper. The object that they're viewing (not the chase on the ground) isn't more than 30 degrees above the horizon. The way the FLIR is mounted on the inverted platform in the front gives it a clear shot to view whatever that object is.

It's a fire balloon. Easy to make, and they burn up after a while exactly like this. I've made them myself. Also, it isn't moving away at high speed. This is an optical illusion caused by the movement of the helicopter and the fact that the camera is zoomed in - it's a similar principle behind the motion-control cameras used in old sci-fi movies such as Star Wars to make stationary model ships appear to fly past.

@emaculate Candle Wax i think is what they used ,its being recorded on"Forward Looking Infrared Radar" [heat sensing]. I'm not an expert but it looks identical to what they reproduced on their TV show. Once it burns out it starts falling and rotating until they lose it. Hard to tell if the Helos moving the cams panning or its being blown or a combo of all three. We are being visited but FLIR wont prove it.

@Atlbraves28 If you go to Wikipedia and enter EC130 helicopter, you'll get a high res photo of an actual Long Beach PD helicopter. Take a look, and you'll see that the FLIR is mounted on an inverted platform right at the very front of the helicopter just under the nose. The nose is clear plexiglass, and is angled in a way for the FLIR to still get an excellent vertical perspective, even up into the sky.

@gregoryz3 The only issue i have with most sighting videos is the lack of zoom. Its like no one with a zoom lense has ever caught anything. Have you seen the ufo's over odessa video? that another good example of strange activity but its hard to determine what it is due to lack of zoom. Check that video out its preety cool.

1:42 is a great image of the falling blob slightly twinkling. This implies that it's energy is irregular, reminiscent of the flame on a candle as it varies in brightness; or any type of fire for that matter. I do believe those are flares coming from a helicopter through an out-of-focus camera in a near infrared spectrum.

the thing that interests me the most is that in other cases ive heard witnesses say that ufo had dropped this "fairy dust" type material before and when tested surfaces that supposedly had it on it there was radiactive readings. very interesting. looked very authentic to me.

@Atlbraves28 At the time of this video, Long Beach Police had two brand new EC130 helicopter's. The FLIR's are mounted on the bottom front of the helicopters, so the underbelly would not obstruct a horizontal view looking directly forward.

I'm half Mexican- American and German. My mother, grandmother and great grand parents were born here. My grandfather born in Iowa. His parents came over from Germany in the 30's. I am proud of my heritage. I embrace my Hispanic side and German side and I am Damn proud to be an American. BUT, I do not support illegals here in the United States. Become a citizen . The RIGHT way. If you choose not to, don't bitch when people put down illegal immigrants. That goes for ANY race.
