"We must gather wisdom while we are not required to use it; when the time for use arrives, the time for harvest is over." Hans Gross, Criminal Psychology, 1968.
gather wisdom?!... lol... how do u gather wisdom? u mean gather information.
wisdom is a virtue in very spiritually evolved human beings. its not
something u can gather.
+feitingschatten1most people and Hollywood use the word wisdom for just about anything that seems a bit more clever than what we normally are used to...why? because people like to flatter themselves.information and knowledge is gatherable. but u can't set out to gather wisdom. u can speak 7 languages and be a rocket scientist and still be childish and unreliable as a human being.wisdom is what u do with that information and knowledge and involves qualities like integrity and honesty. the most clever person on earth does not need honesty to be deemed knowledgeable. but u cant say the same about a wise person.integrity means there are no contradictions between ones thoughts, emotions and actions. how many knowledgeable persons do u know who can boast that?wisdom are for the saints who no longer have any interest in this world. not for the shrewd and calculated ones who have learned all the angles and tricks.
+Eugene Matthews Actually I think that's an unnecessary nitpick on CT, but I believe Wisdom is still gatherable. The only difference being the need to cultivate it through effort. Just because it requires an extra step doesn't mean it isn't gatherable :)
Okay - you are correct. "Gather information." Still, it doesn't matter what you collect, compile, or gather - it only matters what you do with it!
