My 2 cents for anyone who gives a rats..1. I want BF to be true. it sounds
like a cool thing to be having walking around scaring the bejabbers out of
anyone unfortunate enough to encounter it..2. But wanting it to be true,
doesn't make it so. 3. Most of the stories/legends etc. come from the
USA-where a lot of it's citizens think Hollywood is their capital..
2 years research later-the sheer volume of BF material I've read, watched
and listened to, will have to do in my decision as to whether I believe in
BF or not. Sorry if my opinion/s seem blunt, I am calling a lot of people
either stupid or liars. But only based on what I read or hear. If I ever
encountered BF-I'd expect to be ridiculed/called a liar too..
The Upload: Paragraph 1: The Patterson footage has never been proven
either. The only one who can demonstrate how it was done, was the one who
did it! A person's walk is like their fingerprint!. The absence of a
costume/suit might be needed to convict someone in court, but us 'honest
skeptics' have no way of finding the original suit/costume anyway. But we
can delve into the background of BS artists/wannabe's/con-men like
Patterson, to get a fair idea of the fame/fortune that Patterson always
craved. And I believe, the lengths he was prepared to go to achieve this.
Looking at the PG film from a hoax point-of-view, the suit/costume becomes
evidence of said hoax, therefore it would need disposing of-that evenings
campfire, watching the smoke rise from the costume with a Budweiser in one
hand, cigarette in the other..
Paragraph 2: Larger amounts of money were being spent making better
costumes anyway. The same year as the PG film, Hollywood was shooting
'Planet of the Apes'. Take a look at that film, the special
effects/costumes were ground-breaking. Yes making a suit like anything
real, is really hard, next to impossible back in '67, But, the film is
shaky and grainy. 'Patty', didn't need to have a perfect suit, because the
film is rough as. The big, heavy, pendulous breasts help hunch the
suit-wearer over, plenty of padding under the suit, grid-iron shoulder
pads, weight in boots etc-Most people would walk like 'Patty' if the suit
was 20-30kg's..
Paragraph 3: Back to Paragraph 1-There was only 1 suit, so of course no-one
can re-create it! Only the maker, who knows all the materials and specs
could make a similar one. As for the anatomy, only the original actor has
the build and gait. This original actor also has to be at the same age-an
old guy now full of rickets and arthritis wouldn't have the same fluidity
as he did in '67..
Paragraph 4: De-bunking questions. 1@2 refer to above Paragraph 3-Suit was
burnt the same day. Original suit maker is either too old or dead. Or if
alive, doesn't want the shame of being caught out. I wouldn't either.
Question 3, The media trumpets 'man in a suit', because there is no other
frame of reference. Until a BF body is found, man has nothing to compare
pics/vids of BF..Lets say bears also only walked on 2 feet. If so, man
would have 2 reference frames, or options. It would then be either 1-man in
suit. Or 2-A bear. But because man is the ONLY bipedal animal on Earth, the
only thing we can compare the PG, or any other sasquatch film to, is 'man
in suit'..If the proof is so easy to provide (as this upload asks), then
the onus of proof is on the sasquatch believers. Sasquatch believers,
Provide the Evidence!. Not anecdotal 'evidence', those are called stories.
Evidence is a body. Not footprints, hair samples (which have all been
debunked), "vocalizations"-lol, the 'Samurai Chatter'-FFS, who makes this
shit up..Not 'scat', or 'Sasquatch Chronicles' or 'Finding Bigfoot'. Not
Meldrum, not Krantz or that debunked, opinionated Lloyd Pye..Nothing will
do except a BODY.
I'll still give the upload a thumbs-up, because they are good, rational
questions. PostToastie has his/her opinion and I respect that. With no body
to prove me wrong, good healthy argument will have to do!.
So any person who I've watched, listened to, and read about, with regard to
their personal BF 'encounters'..: At best, I say that some of you were
mistaken. There are vids on YouTube of bears walking really well, for
minutes on end, on their hind legs. the weight of their front half hunches
them over a bit-They walk like a sasquatch!..
At worst, whoever isn't mistaken or hallucinating, is downright lying.
America is full of Bullshit artists. Even if there is no money/fame from
reporting a BF 'sighting', Americans just love their brief,
once-in-a-lifetime, chance in the lime-light. Then there are people who
will exploit this national trait, and make shows out of the phenomenon.
Which encourages more people to start 'seeing' Bigfoot..
I listen to podcasts/uploads like Sasquatch Chronicles. I love the stories,
but that's all they are to me, stories. The hosts just made up some
un-corroborated BS, got another BS author, Will Jevning on, and started
their weekly show. Of course now they have a subscribers base, they now
charge for most of their content. They are making a living on selling BS..
That's their right. Just like it's my right to call it how I see it. I wish
I was wrong..I still like the sasquatch subject and will continue enjoying
stories. But that's all they will ever be to me. Stories..
Here"s my 2 cents Mk davis has enhanced stabilized p/g film and with a
suit you dont get the detail you see in it 1= AN ASSHOLE 2= A CALF
MUSCLE FLEX 3= THIGH CONTUSION the list goes on. You will never ever in
your life see a suit with just those three little details! . If it"s real
than it would have an ass hole ,calf flex, thigh injury etc so on , logical
deductions leave you with the only conclusion that makes sense ! No suit
would have those features ever, why in 1967 would they??
It's no fake, all scientists examining it conclude it's a real Sasquatch.
The state of f/x then was poor to say the least, even decades later there
was only one way to do Bigfoot suits based on the idea Bigfoots are tall.
So what does Hollywood do? The only thing they can, stick a tall dude in a
longhaired uniformed humanshaped suit. Bigfoot proportions they just can't
create, the Bigfoot anatomy's very different from human anatomy obviously,
mainly the longer torso/arms. No way to reach a mask.
I can't believe anyone would even think the BBC wasn't paid to FAIL the
recreation test. They couldn't get the hair the right color, they didn't
bulk the costume as the original hoaxsters did, and I like the way people
think a costume moving around over a human body is "muscle". You believers
are an embarrassment to humanity. Even when all the hoaxsters come out of
the woodwork, you all got so caught up in the fantasy, you can't realize
it's time to close the book and wake up to reality. IDIOTS!
@stiqula Gee, how typical. Many people came forward NOT to make a dime off
of this. Please, tell me, which person in the FX industry made money by
pointing out it was a bad costume? Now, lets get this right, Bigfoor is
about the size of 2 gorillas, and he appears to be everywhere. We have
captured every primate known to man, but not the ones that weigh 400-800
pounds and are up to 9' tall? I think it's YOU who needs to get a grip on
reality. Whether some can exist or does exist are worlds apart.
@19nisey69 and you don't think those people (who were not the original
photographers) didn't just say it was a hoax to sell some books and make
money too?? There is a huge possibility that a primate species like bigfoot
could exist. We're not talking about a dragon or a few-million-year-old
plesiosaur here, we're talking about something with over 99% of a genetic
match to humans and chimps. So I wouldn't be so quick to judge reality when
you don't seem to have the strongest grip on it yourself.
the bbc didnt through money at it. a small mystery programme tried to
recreate it on a 'sall' budget.it wsnt an attempt by the BBC t it but the
programme, and its finacial remit, that triedto recreat it. which was a poor
attempt.ive seen better gilly duits at the local fancy dress store. i dont
think its impossible to recreate hte costume if a tv st wanted too. the
issue is it would still provenothing so why bother. video is 60years
ago.all we have hasince is rubbish hoaxes.nothing is ther sadly
if there is 'evidence' woud mebody post a link to it. the little boy inside
me wants there to be something but the facts speak for themselves. here is
nothing but optical illusions/shadows.other animals etc or haxes to look at
for me! supposed families of thousands of 8-10 foot ape/men roaming,
undetected in a modern world in USA, is surely ridiculas. its not remote
Tibet we are talking about but some woods in parts ofm USA. yet people
spend their lives looking. same in Uk with nessie! nonsense
ur talking about thick dark jungles in some of the most remote and sparcly
habitated regions of the planet...not NORTH AMERICA lol...when was the last
time a new mammal species bigger than a mouse discovered here in NA..better
yet when was the list time a new species of insect was found here...dude
they say BF has been seen in every state just about lol..give me a
break...dont compair gorrilas or pandas to this shit here in NA...ur not
gonna find a 800lb 8ft5 BF in indiana or even a new bug :)
That's what make-up artist Janos Prohaskas also said, only way to do it,
except it was never done that way. Indeed, I've never heard of a whole body
glued full of hairs one at a time. They always used longhaired suits for
apes/BF back then, which was the only practical way they could do it. And
you could always tell it's a guy dressed up, the gait gave him away as a
person hidden inside and most damning of all; they couldn't get the apelike
BF anatomy right. By Patty's looks, she's too tall.
why do i think ur a texan?...because ur a dumbass ;) lol..my bad on that
shit ill say tho..i mistook u for this other bigfoot nut i encountered on
here some time ago..sorry...i will say however all of u bf believers are
crazy as shit house rats and being accused of being a texan should be the
least of ur worries...tho i agree it is pretty bad...so like i said..my bad
and im sorry :)..if u seriuosly believe there are BF in north america ur
still funny as hell to me as the dude i though u were
@dj69918 Cool. In that context then, the concept of bigfoot is harmless and
shouldn't really annoy people. If bigfoot doesn't exist, so what? Nobody is
killing in the name of bigfoot and public funds are not being taken from
cancer research and given towards bigfoot research. I have no idea why
anyone even cares if bigfoot doesn't exist. Big deal. So what. Even if it
doesn't exist it's a nice myth to have so I don't see why anyone would want
to kill the myth off. Bigfoot is a cool mystery.
if u think a marsupial is what a panda is like...well..no offence but u
dont know much about the taxonomy of a panda..they are in no way other than
they have live young "like a kangaroo" or and most defenity not in the sub
class marsupialia..the closest rank on the scientific classification scale
shared w/ a kangaroo is the supercohort: theria..which includes all mammals
exept monotremes..thats very far from being "like a kangaroo" in anyway
other than its a mammal who doesnt lay eggs :)
That video is a joke. It just LOOKS like somebody attempting to walk like a
Bigfoot in a costume. Believing in videos like this is what gives "us" zero
credibility with "normal" thinkers. Patterson Film is what keeps me a
believer. In 2013, I could see a hoax this extravagant (although we've yet
to see another "costume" this authentic) but who in 1967 thinks to give the
BigFoot costume boobs (female) AND have a quad muscle so anatomically
accurate and functional??? Answer: nobody would.
@dj69918 ""What I have said is that it is more likely that this is not big
foot than that it is."" Once again I am not referring to YOU. Simply saying
"I don't think that's a real bigfoot" is not libel and you aren't claiming
anything as fact. I'm talking about OTHER people who have openly declared
this footage to be a fake and that Roger Patterson hoaxed it. That is libel
and remains non proven and the burden of proof is just as much on those
people to PROVE that Patterson hoaxed it.
Dude you know how long it took to find the great panda? 100 years to find a
black and white bear that eats bamboo... It was just as disbelieved as this
at the time and following 30 years of hunting nothing was found. 40 years
later someone found a pelt of one in an Asian village and after 30 more
years of looking they found 6. Less than 10% of the land of this earth has
been foot serveyed and less than 5% of the oceans have been delved. Even
now new species pop up everywhere.
@LaughingGravy31 I disagree again. Libel necessarily entails saying
something that is knowingly false about someone with malice. What I have
said is that it is more likely that this is not big foot than that it is.
Why you ask? Every other photo or video containing a mythical creature has
either been proven to be false. In addition it is almost ridiculous to
suggest that a 7 foot tall beast, whose general location we know, has
managed to elude any clear or concise evidence.
Cant fake this, its impossible, the anatomy is clearly not human, the movement
is fluid and consistant, this is much larger than any man ive ever seen. Why
it isnt clear to everybody that has seen this film is beyond me.Its a
conspiracy, maybe they are the missing link. They just might hold the key as
to who we are and where we came from.Maybe we are part alien and part
bigfoot kinda like the sumerian texts say.Bigfoot is on every continent and
sighting go back thousands of yrs.
it is nice to meet someone who is interested in animals you are correct...i
have since as long as i can remember...they are as fasinating to me as
people who believe that there is an undicovered giant member of the homonid
family running around unproven by science when not even a sub species of
insect has been able to do that in the lower 48 for some time now
lol...kills me when they compare the panda or gorilla & even ocean
discoveries to the modern day US..ridiculious
dont try and argue w/ "crazy"...its an act of futility...this guy thinks a
group of bigfoots lives on his property, and in texas no less lol...a state
w/ less than 3% public ground...yes a bunch of bigfoots are living on
peoples land and they dont even know it...this dude is wacked out of his
noodle...he probably thinks he has bigfoot sex w/ his tenants lol..ill bet
in his mind he's the one doing the recieving when bigfoot gets a nut
too...he's a strange duck for sure
@dj69918 ""In addition it is almost ridiculous to suggest that a 7 foot
tall beast, whose general location we know, has managed to elude any clear
or concise evidence."" There are far more ridiculous things in the world
that billions of people accept and believe in...such as God, ghosts. I find
it ridiculous that the President of the USA believes in God....yet he does.
A shy, rare uncatalogued primate is far less ridiculous than supernatural
entities and sky spirits.
@LaughingGravy31 Yes I completely agree with the statement that most people
believe in stupid shit. The concept of a God is quite honestly one of the
most ridiculous ideas I can even fathom. Yet the majority of people believe
in a god and a lot of them will give their lives for it. People enjoy
believing is stupid shit, it makes their shitty lives seem interesting. But
I digress, since we mostly agree with each other I'd rather squash this and
agree to disagree.
yes for a long time the exact taxonomy of the bear has been up for
debate...but, never has the scientific community thought it to be a member
of the infraclass marsupialia..However, molecular studies suggest the giant
panda is a true bear and part of the Ursidae family, though it
differentiated early in history from the main ursine stock. The giant
panda's closest extant relative is the spectacled bear of South
America..not the kangaroo lol
its real people get over it, not that hard to believe there is/was
sasquatches, its just another creature not even that amazing in difference,
its just as shocking as monkeys in africa(maybe a little more because
sasquatches are technically undiscovered but u understand what i mean) if
it was like a dragon that would be crazy shit but its been proven on the
history channel no human being tht size could walk like that creature did
@TBAKC Patterson obviously knew they faked it. After his death, the people
that pulled off the hoax with him admitted it, how they did it, and so on.
But it's the hardcore believers who are not willing to admit they got duped
that are pushing this agenda that those claiming responsibility for the
hoax are lying. Some people hate being wrong so badly, they have to
continue the fantasy instead of giving up the ghost.
@19nisey69 I've got a degree in Biology, Sociology, and English, bro,
reality is kind of my thing. Do you really think every species on the
planet has been captured? Gorillas weren't even discovered until 1902, and
are still extremely hard to find in the wild. There are about 750 million
acres of forest land in the United States where nobody lives. Sightings of
this creature go back over 400 years.
stfu shithead, it's the same thing. I don't care what I said here, it's a
fact those experts looking at it thoroughly have all concluded either one
of these. Never that it's fake. You're the one in need of getting your
facts straight, it's never been debunked or concluded fake upon close
investigation and it most likely never will. You lose again big time creep,
like you wouldn't believe it. lmao
@dj69918 Do you think that the vast majority of the world has ridiculous
beliefs? I can guarantee you that the vast majority of the world believes
in at least one of the following...God, ghosts, aliens, re-incarnation,
clairvoyance, ESP etc etc....all of which are more 'ridiculous' than an
uncatalogued shy rare primate. In essence then, are you saying MOST PEOPLE
believe in ridiculous things?
@lenguy45 ""That's it..that's the best costume BBC could put together?"" It
wasn't even a BBC suit. The suit came from John Vulich's Optic Nerve
Studios in Hollywood. Optic Nerve is an award winning make up specialist
studio. They worked on Buffy, The X Files and Babylon 5. The orange suit
came from a specialist Hollywood makeup studio....and it was still shit.
