Check out PART 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvlDOS1lfTk Hit songs that contain a sample from another song! We did a bit of investigating about which ...
+Psychobilly H Lol it's like if you're gonna do a video about samples/interpolations, do all the research, not just the last few years. They managed to work Big Pun in there, I was expecting them to say something about Lil Kim's sample.
+Matthew Olden Exactly! Hahaha I head Jeff's song first and before they played Ariana's I was already jamming to Lil Kim in my head. I didn't know who he was until recent.
+Psychobilly H Lol you mean to tell me they made a video on samples and didn't even mention the sample that inspired Ariana's song in the first place? For a while I didn't even know who Jeff Lorber was until I found out they sampled his song on "Who You Wit?" by Jay-Z. I ain't thinkin about Jeff Lorber when I hear that song, I'm thinkin about Kim & Lil Cease lol.
This one was slightly confusing because of the nature of their comedy in
which they are both always friends or family or such. So you assume in the
beginning that they where long friends. Well maybe it was me assuming and
sure do not want to make a ass out of you nor me... I want to critique this
episode. I feel It would of went from a 3 to a 8. If they would of had Key
walking by and stop by him first.
Dude I Got No Idea What You’re Saying. Wait. Check That. I Do. (Acts 2:1-13) | TMBH 7
In this episode of the Ten Minute Bible Hour we look at the Holy Spirit's dramatic debut after Jesus' ascension. When the disciples started speaking foreign ...
4:10 why do you think that them "all" are the 120 believers and not the 12
disciples that were mentioned in the previous verse and are the ones
mentioned later to stand up and address the crowd?
+IamGrimalkin Great question. I assume that they were all together because it was the Day of Pentecost (a religious holiday) and they would have been observing that as a group of believers, and because Luke says "all" without ever adjusting what group he was talking about. Did all 120 speak in tongues? Maybe? I don't know for sure, but it seems very unlikely to me that only 12 of the 120 would have been together on a day that's as big a deal as Pentecost.
+The Ten Minute Bible Hour Thanks man! I was able to find the artist after searching for quite some time last night lol. now I just need to figure out how to buy it!....
BTW I am going to present your study to our pastors tomorrow and see if they will let me present it to the church. I believe that your study, as much as I ha e gained from it thus far, is a great way for people our age to begin "grazing" on the book of Acts. It is a very large meal to try and take in all at once, and I admit that I have actually avoided Acts after trying to do just that. The whole Pentecostal movement has shied many from diving into it out of fear that it won't make any sense. They way you have presented each verse, one blade of grass at a time, makes it that much more palatable and I actually had an epiphany during Episode 7 (coming g this Christmas!). Acts actually makes sense; it is not all the hocus pocus that so many conservative and new Christians think it isFor your HIUNDREDS of hours of hard work so far, I award you Eternal Internets so that you can complete the series with wings like an eagle. Keep it up, boss.(Mustangs are chick cars)
Smart commentary on an amazing story! Excited to see more!
Bonus off topic video idea......obscure reference challenge!
I feel i would do well......but this Lindsey person would keep up
(somewhat)
+Eric Ex Thanks for the kind words mister. In addition to trying to use the image panel to make occasional helpful points, and to show images of historical characters and maps, I have to admit that I most enjoy cramming them in for jokes and fun references. I haven't heard from anyone who's tracked with every image from any of the episodes, but that's part of the fun. I do think Lindsey M and Scott R could give you a run for your money. They are on the same wavelength. I'll have to think about how to do something like what you've suggested.
+Integration I'm really grateful for you taking the time to check this out. I'm trying to make this something that's useful for understanding the Bible in a fun way without having to think anything or sign up for anything. I'd love to hear your feedback if you have thoughts on things I can do to make it better. Thanks again!
