I have mine set up and running on motion. How do I make it record all the time? The distance is too far to set off the motion sensor even on 1 sensitivity so always record is what I need. Thank you

+ANONYMOUS one You're welcome. I just bought a second system, because the other one works so good, now that I figured it all out. They had the 8 channel 4 camera system on sale at Frys Electronics for only $159, so I jumped on it. If you buy just the cameras they cost that much or more. It's actually the Alpha Series, which is made by Swann too, and everything is the same as far as I can tell. The SwannLink works fantastic on my new Samsung Note 4 smartphone. The picture is very clear, compared to using an older phone.

+ANONYMOUS one Easy, just turn the other cameras on in the SwannLink or myDVR software, under settings and select each camera 1-8, and put a check in the box that says to activate motion detection. Simple if you can find the setting.

I've been trying to do the same thing and failing...I cannot get any live streams from NSR to my client. Everything else seems to work. Did you have to do anything on your network?

GREAT VIDEO! I just purchased the SWNVK-873008 kit from Fry's. Same thing you got but with 8x 3MP "815" cameras. I did a ton of research, but never caught that the Swann stuff was just repackaged Hikvision. Thank you for clueing me in on that!! I'm downloading and getting the iVMS4200 set up and unplugging that darn NVR mouse! Thank goodness!. THANKS AGAIN!

You mentioned in this video that the NVR 8Port can be used a Network Switch? IE if I had this setup where my TV is and my XboxOne, could I connect my XboxOne to one of the spare ports on the NVR and get an internet connection so long as the NVR is hooked up to my Router etc.?

+Fujiboy99 The Network ports on the NVR are POE, so that would be bad for your XboxOne. There's a "9th" port on the NVR that's unpowered, but you'll want that going into a switch and from the switch to your xbox ONe & the rest fo your network.
