where are these two now? They better be fuckin living happily TOGETHER like
they shouldve been in he first place. I'm crying so much right now. this
was simply not fair
+Eden Bourcier I'm David from the video. Happy to say that we are still together and happier than ever! Been married over 3 years now, together for 8! Thanks for watching! We fought hard to be together and we won! -David & Jason
Now that SCOTUS has finally resolved this issue, marriage equality is
almost complete. The only obstacles left are the bible cherry pickers like
Kim Davis who waste precious time by going out of their way to force their
beliefs on others.
This video is great for rallying support, but unfortunately those who are
homophobic will be put off by the guys kissing and will ignore the message
entirely.
That is correct. +The Gay Plumber my family labels gay people as "queers" and "faggots" but the difference between the way they think and the way I think is that I don't judge people or label them. I always say that Gay people are no different then straight people. I don't judge or hate someone because of their personality. I just try to speak my beliefs. And your correct on homosexuality not being a relevant issue in society. But in all honesty people let things like this get to them. And to me I ask people everyday of what they think of gay people and they say it doesn't really bother them. It's nice knowing that.
+Christopher Pennington I understand. The environmental influences of your life has shaped how you think. People, gay or heterosexual, who have not been conditioned with these ideas have no interest in opposing homosexuality because it is not a relevant issue in their lives or society.
+Christopher Pennington Here's why I mistook your comment for satire:1) "no it isn't and rest assured you won't get what you want as long as we stand in your way."- Let's take a minute to think about how villainous this statement sounds. You almost sound like you're trying to be the bad guy, like your rehearsing for a part in a movie.2) "We don't care what you do to us. We will fight back as Christians and we won't stop until we've succeeded."- This is a highly militant statement, but feels offset by the following statement.3) "We believe you can love but not in this particular way in which you guys wouldn't understand."- This one is difficult to interpret. This can be understood to mean that either homosexual love doesn't exist, or that it is valid, but forbidden. Forbidding love, the source of true happiness, cannot possibly be good.4 ) "You guys will get what's coming to you, you just don't know it yet. It's not about your rights it's about standing for what we know is right not what you think you should have."- This is another comment that comes off as villainous. At this point, I began to wonder if you were pulling a Mrs Betty Bowers on me.5) "And we don't judge people based on what they do."- A direct contradiction to the previous statement. At this point, I can't imagine how this can't be satire.6) "I wish you guys could just see what your doing to yourselves right now. We Christians are trying our best to save you from making an abomination but you guys see it as hate and discrimination against you."- Abomination is an opinion, mistaken for fact. When you call our lifestyle an abomination, you look down upon us. And in the same sentence, you claim that you do not hate or discriminate. You personally may "love the sinner, hate the sin" as your book puts it, but this very mentality breeds hate in others who follow it. This addition to the bag of contradictions makes it increasingly difficult to take your comment seriously. This gets us back to the point of judging people. You claim that gays are judging you...7) "And as I've said many times before in this comment we heterosexuals never have and never will judge you homosexuals."- Another contradiction. Your entire comment is about judging us.8) "Homosexuals are just like Heterosexuals. A person who is different. "- This statement contradicts the message of the rest of your comment. Here, you validated us, but in every statement before it, you rendered us in terms of error.9) "Know this my friend we will never judge you"- A repeated contradiction.10) "I say the truth of what my Lord is wanting me to preach to you right now."- The bible states that any Christian who judges is a hypocrite. We are aware of your stance on homosexuality. Your continued efforts against us reeks of judgement.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now that I know you're serious, to address your other points:a) "And how can you reproduce by being with the same sex."- Irrelevant. Besides, we have enough humans on this planet. The forests that have been cut down and the animals that went extinct as a result of our encroachment would agree.b) "Seriously what is there to being with another person of the same sex. As a person who experimented I found it to be no fun at all."- Of course you're going to be uncomfortable with the experimentation. Think about what your beliefs are. Sexuality is all in the mind. It is what you make of it.I started out experimenting because girls weren't attracted to me. Girls aren't as attracted to guys as guys are to them. It's so much easier and more convenient to date guys then girls. Being with guys is generally a straightforward experience and free of complication. I like that simplicity. That's why I'm gay.c) "It's you guys who judge us and treat us like white trash."- From my perspective, gays are so discreet with their sexuality, that I have to use the internet to find and meet them. I've never met a gay who went out of their way to criticize Christians. Our beef (no pun intended) with you only exists when you condemn us. Otherwise, we get along fine with you. In fact, I have Christian friends.d) "We don't find it right. Love is between a man and a woman. That's how it's supposed to be. We are telling you what we believe in."- You're entitled to your opinion, but conflict rises when you push your opinions on others. Opinion is an object of perception, separate from fact.e) "I for one hate that you guys are going to sit there and tell us what we as Christians and believers of God are doing."- Are you talking about when we mention your hypocrisy?f) "We don't hate nobody. We never said that we hated gays and lesbians."- Tell that to Jerry Pittman, or the West Borrow Baptist Church. They are the most prominent and vocal entity who falls under this umbrella. But there are so many Christians out there who lure gays into traps and prove your statement wrong. Some of these Christians are even responsible for murder of gays.g) "And I am speaking for both sides when I say this but even we aren't perfect."- All the more reason to respect us as equals.h) "We just don't want you going down the wrong path."- That is an opinion.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Your remaining statements were reiterations of your previous talking points.
+Christopher Pennington Oh, yeah.. we definitely see how much you all "care" for us. lol You care so much that you want to control the world and if you could, you would. Your Christian oppression is coming to an end thank goodness, because you Christians are nothing like Christ.
+Christopher Pennington You hypocrites Already lost and we don't have to accept your beliefs. Your beliefs will always stay separate from the law because church and state don't mix. This isn't a theocracy so you lose. You have the right to believe in what you want but not when you impose those beliefs on others. And who cares about reproduction.. we've got many options when it comes to that. We could do it natural or through IVF treatments. Just because people are gay does not mean we don't want kids or are going to let our species die out.. how stupid is that!
I consider that in the future. And I don't see where my "satire" was. I was speaking my mind to you. But I guess nobody takes a person like me seriously. But like I said we do care for you. You don't see obviously. +The Gay Plumber
Wow, I almost mistook your satire for seriousness.By the way, when you write large responses like this, please break it into paragraphs so as to make it easier to read. It's painful to read as a big block. Thanks.
+The Gay Plumber no it isn't and rest assured you won't get what you want as long as we stand in your way. We don't care what you do to us. We will fight back as Christians and we won't stop until we've succeeded. We believe you can love but not in this particular way in which you guys wouldn't understand. And how can you reproduce by being with the same sex. You guys will get what's coming to you, you just don't know it yet. It's not about your rights it's about standing for what we know is right not what you think you should have. And we don't judge people based on what they do. It's you guys who judge us and treat us like white trash. Seriously what is there to being with another person of the same sex. As a person who experimented I found it to be no fun at all. I wish you guys could just see what your doing to yourselves right now. We Christians are trying our best to save you from making an abomination but you guys see it as hate and discrimination against you. I for one hate that you guys are going to sit there and tell us what we as Christians and believers of God are doing. We don't hate nobody. We never said that we hated gays and lesbians. We don't find it right. Love is between a man and a woman. That's how it's supposed to be. We are telling you what we believe in. And as I've said many times before in this comment we heterosexuals never have and never will judge you homosexuals. Homosexuals are just like Heterosexuals. A person who is different. And I am speaking for both sides when I say this but even we aren't perfect. But the good Lord knows that we mean no hate on you guys as American citizens. Know this my friend we will never judge you. We just don't want you going down the wrong path. The good Lord is willing to help you but only if you help yourself. I say the truth of what my Lord is wanting me to preach to you right now. Don't want any terrible things to happen to you and we aren't judging you. But you got to realize that these are our beliefs. We don't think of you guys and girls that are gay any different then us. But we want you to go down the right path. Not down the wrong path of which is wrong. We love you gays but we just don't love your ways. Love the gay, hate their way. I wish you guys would give us a chance as to what we want from you guys. We are all human and we are all different. I love you and every other human being on this earth. But don't let a little bit of dirt impair your judgement of others. We all judge even when we think we aren't but as humans we do it all the time. It's in our nature. Do we mean to do it? No. For me at least. But this is what life is about for all of us. You can't expect the road to be perfect but as long as your able to drive it you'll be fine. I promise you my friend.
