The cost of having steel gobos made for every wedding is prohibitive. The problem is that the LED light source is so bright that it bleeds through on the black printed ink & more so on toner based printing like with all laser printers. This is unavoidable if you make your own gobos with this model. I have a 15 watt Chauvet Gobo-Zoom 2 projector and it is as close as I can get to perfect on printed gobos. I think that above a 20 watt led light source you will start getting bleed through on black.

It looks like the gobos shown in the video are the metal ones supplied with the unit (check out Brandon Steward's review - you can see them clearly). So what you're seeing in the areas where light appears to bleed through is actually stray light reflecting back off the front surface of the gobo. Shame it looks so obvious, but I wonder if it's accentuated by the way ADJ film their promos in such a dark room - maybe the bleed-through effect would be less noticeable in a more realistic environment?

Great concept.the result didn't look that great though a lot of white light came through as a wash on the floor making the logo not really Pop like I have seen others. I like the wireless feature. The casing for that looks the same as the H2O and thing I don't like about that is the bracket it can't stand on the floor by itself which is sometimes where you want to place it rather than hanging from a bracket. Sorry if this is a bit of a hard critique I admire a lot of the cool features added

I have never liked the design of the American DJ gobo projectors. On this one they have gone with the option of different lenses to get smaller or larger gobos projected which is just too cumbersome for my liking and the lenses are in plastic casings. The Chauvet is better but not great either. I find it totally annoying that the technology is there to make it better but no one bothers. At least Chauvet uses a metal casing.

That's what I was thinking at first but those look like stock generic gobos that might actually come with the unit. If ADJ wanted to use custom printed gobos on transparency paper, they would've probably made something more custom like a mock wedding gobo (Joe & Marie) or something like that. The ones on the video looks stock. I really hope not because that would mean metal gobos will look crappy through this unit.

I definitely like this image projector. Does this model have the capability to "Cloud Project" onto Smoke Clouds produced from Firework displays during 4th of July outdoor events? How much distance clarity viewability can be achieved while projecting images into clouds produced in the sky?

This is very nice but you have to remember that if you print your own gobos, the black will bleed through as you can see in the video and especially so if you use toner based printing because the toner doesn't do the black so inpenetrateable to light as do inkjet printers.

are you able to use this as a spotlight if no gobo is used...Possibly add a gel to dull out the white?
