The VFX industry is a victim of its own inflated ego end greed. The salaries are ridiculously over inflated especially if you compare them to design visualisers or game artists who have skill-sets equal to or even more developed than many VFX artists. Compounding the problem is the salary scale, with supes and producers commanding disproportionate salaries for what they actually do - Ive met supes who cant even use Maya or Max. Its time to wake up and smell the coffee I say.

You're exactly right about supervisors. That position has become something of a misnomer for someone who can't actually do any of the things they're in charge of. I fully support the artists here, but we're all in a bad position because of the industry we work in. Hollywood has similar ethics to politicians, so pushing for equality when it comes to pay is losing battle.

without these people we have no great films, even if you think there are no VFX there will be they are so good at their job you dont notice, they get no credit and now this, it sucks for them and for people like me who want to be part of the industry

The whole VFX thing really sucks, I know you guys are in the Industry and I hope to join the industry in a few years and when such a company can fall like that it hits you like, shit then what does that mean for the smaller studios who aren't at the level it really sucks. anyway great video guys, really loved this one

Keanu Reeves has had such a hard life man.... His dad sold heroin, his mother was a whore, he's dyslexic, he didn't get to play ice hockey because of an injury he sustained, a sister of his was diagnosed with leukimea, one best friend OD'd, and he had a fiance with child that died in a car crash.
