Looks like you filmed from about where I was sitting. I hope none of those
arms in the way are mine. Actually I was down in my seat crying through
most of this particular cut, it brought back high school in a big way.
Thanks for posting it.
We were in the 12th row, center 4th seat from the center aisle. No mind to
the hands up, we may be old, but we are not dead! lololol! What would a
show be if everyone sat there and never got carried away!
The camera is a Kodak Z1012 IS. It is really a HD camera that also takes
video. Problem with it is the auto focus is difficult to use in a crowd
like this, so zooming doesn't turn out well.
I saw the last show of the tour in Morristown NJ. It was a great show with
some excellent guitar jams, ballads and electronic symphonic songs. Todd's
voice is as good as ever.
Inspiring video!! I have never done more than 50 miles(rail trail).
Watching this, makes me want to try a trip like this but I am not sure about
going on high speed roads.....too scary....
Okay... people be honest Karina is a beautiful and talented person.... but
Oksana.. while she is beautiful as well and can play her instrument of
choice she does not really have as much talent for singing! And thats just
real... but she could so make it off her looks!
@ BeerMoneyLive - the locomotive seen at 11:50 of this video is Bessemer &
Lake Erie 2-10-4 #643. At this time, it was sitting in the Glenwood Shops,
owned by a guy named Glenn Campbell (not the singer), awaiting
restoration. I was fortunate enough to be in the cab the one and only time
it moved under it's own power, Labor Day Weekend of 1990. We didn't steam
it up, but filled the boiler with compressed air to test the rebuilt
running gear. It was subsequently moved to McKees Rocks, PA, on the old
P&LE line. I honestly don't know where it is now, and I believe Glenn
passed away, but I could be wrong. Also, I was in the cab of the 2765 on
this particular day in Glenwood, and I managed to find myself in this
video, lol.
I have been looking for some video of this excursion for quite some time. I
was a passenger on this excursion both days. On the second day, I was a
guest on the Pullman Pine Tree State-- the one seen coupling to the
locomotive consist in your video. I also took the trip out to Glenwood Yard
during the servicing of 2765. If you have any more footage of this trip,
please post it. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Cool Video! I was delivering in Pittsburgh in the '80's and 90's and
witnessed the dismantling of this once great industrial infrastructure,
isn't Homestead now a shopping mall?
How did you get turned around after crossing the river? It looks like you
kept heading south then all of a sudden your heading north towards
Pittsburgh?
