You normally wait until they have there first shed and then a couple days after that you start trying to feed. You can handle them but the less you do the less stressed you they are and the sooner they are likely to eat.
This video is two years old but yes I sold all the babies that I did not hold back. Check out my Facebook page Osmun Reptile Removal for upcoming babies that will be for sale this season.
How can you tell a snakes gender? Cant tell if my orange corn snake is male
or female. I know males more docile but i cant even check the plumbing
because snakes dont work like that apparently
I would google that question, there are a lot of good articles and pictures out there. With corn snakes, you can count scales, look at tale length, probe, and pop. But I would read and research before trying any of these things. Good luck.
Yeah like they said, to prevent drowning. All those babies from that clutch survived, were sold, and/or are growing up to be future breeders. This was the first time I ever cut eggs of any species of snake but so far scissors have worked well for me when cutting eggs and I usually wait until at least a few have piped before cutting. Thanks.
Yeah to prevent them drowning. I used to breed snakes and the eggs that I let hatch naturally, all drown, so I cut them open after that and never had any dead.
I have an Albino Blood Red baby Corn snake and she isnt really friendly...
i think she is female but we arent too for sure. Is there a reason why she
is feisty? She strikes at me anytime i try to pick her up. After i hold her
for a couple minutes then she finally starts to calm down. Any suggestions
to help her not be so aggressive anymore?
+Koolkatxoxo It's aggressive attitude is a result of her pent up energy that's why you need to find something that would release all those energy. Maybe try walking her for at least an hour a day. Or you can enroll it in an obedience class.
Hiiii BRIAN AND TEAM I AM SORRY MY SON REALY LOVES CORN SNAKES AND I NEED
YOUR HELP I HAVE TRIED SENDING YOU EMAILS BUT THEIR SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY
PHONE I REALY WANT TO GET A CORN SNAKE FOR MY SON FO HIS BIRTHDAY ON JULY
26 WHERE CAN I MAKE AN ORDER
This is a video of my classroom snake 'Kelley' eating 2 pinkies. She's been a great pet for my classroom! If you're thinking of getting a pet snake, personally, ...
I just got my new corn snake he/she (don't know its gender) is the same
breed as yours shes 1 and a half months old and looks just like yours!
Her/His name is Ember :)
+Jilly Cox Awesome! The last time I fed her was the closest she's ever come to snapping at me. I think she was hungry and when she realized it was my hand, she quickly withdrew and let me pick her up. Still no bites! yeah! She's now about 28 inches long.
She should really be on hoppers at this point - my 8 month corn, Red, is
already showing signs of wanting a bigger meal, e.g he eats the mice
backwards and is looking for more food before feeding day comes around
(after a while you get to know what a hungry snake looks like ;)). Kellogg
looks just like my red though... Only difference is the neck pattern -
other than that they are nearly identical!
+ThirdBayProductions it normally takes about 30 mins to thaw my snakes food out but that's how long it takes for 2 hoppers I'd say a fuzzy takes about 15-20 mins
+Snakes Rock About that, I appreciate your advice but I looked at buying some hoppers at the store and in my opinion, she's not ready for them. She has a hard time getting down large fuzzies. I've been feeding her 2 small fuzzies at a time lately and she can get them down good. Soon, I'll try the hoppers and see how she makes out. How long do you take to defrost your frozen food? (just curious)
+ScalesForever Yes, I bought too many pinkies at once so I'm feeding her 3-4 at a time. She does eat fuzzies too. I'm working her up but I've got stock to feed her still. Thanks for the advice though.

I finally received my 7 new corn snakes from a well known snake breeder in my area!!! Unboxed them and rehoused!! Hope y'all enjoyed :D.
The corn snake, (Pantherophis gutattus gutattus) is a medium sized non-venomous colubrid that lives in the southeastern unites states. Their bright colors, docile ...
How to setup a corn snakes cage july 2012 (20 gallon long)
i wanted to upgrade my anery corn snake so i went out and spent $192.4on a whole bunch of new stuff. so i will be showing you how to set up a 20 gallon long ...
wow tht is way too over decorated! Imagine Putting tht in the last cage! I
know u are suppose to keep the younger snakes in areas smaller other wise,
like Fariko Naka said, they will have stress and wont eat and will feel
unsecure which can most likely lead to an unhealthy, sad life, or god
forbid death. but, since he put plenty of décor In the tank, it should seem
much smaller, for it takes up space, ultimately leading to no stress or
feeling not safe, in which the snake wont starve him/ herself and will be
happy. the only thing Is, he is gonna have to take some of tht décor out
when the snake grows bigger. and did anyone else notice the aspen get into
the water bowl? I hope he got tht out!
What are you even saying. The cage was a bit big, yes. But with all the decorations and hides in the cage it made her feel secure. Would you like to school me more on snake setups? I obviously did it wrong, huh? Despite me snake being 100% healthy. And God forbid aspen gets into the water bowl as I'm setting up the cage! By the way, I just left the aspen there. It's still there! Two years later.
I'm assuming you meant reptles. And yes I obviously know that. The user name reptiles was taken. So I settled for reptles as it was close enough. Thank you for watching!
OK so he had him in a bin cause snakes like small places to hide if there
in a big vivarium or a big rub tub then they won't eat and can get stressed
as it makes them feel uncomfortable ! Trust me I've been breeding snakes
from royal/bull python and corn snakes all the way up to sand boas and
green tree pythons so this dude keeping his baby corn in a liitle box was a
good idea and packing out the vivarium with with artificial plants is also
a brilliant thing to do as corn snakes love to explore.they also love to
climb if given the chance so maybe a treelog or something would be
great.also make sure you clean the tank out regularly as water can make the
plants go damp and mouldy.I have put up a video on my channel of my blind
corn snake that I'm nursing to health.come and check him out :) PEACE
I'd say smaller buddy.you obviously know a fair bit.but I would sudgest a smaller tank as big environments may stress out your new snake and as its moving from one owner to another it will be streased until he feels comfortable in his new home and putting him in a huge tank will add even more stress which can lead to starvation or ri infections.also bigger tank bigger heat source!
+MrLemonHazeModz Flux Clan Well is it ok if i still keep my 2 ball pythons in a 150 gallon long tank? I have 8 hides, a bunch of fake vines and plants, and pete moss w/ dirt bedding. If i have to degrade, please tell me fast, cause I'm getting a red tail boa soon and if the ball pythons are moving out, hes moving into their cage. If not, then ima buy another cage for him and keep the BP's in there.
Look at my video bro I have a cute blind corn snake with one eye but the other one is a bit cloudy o he can only vaigly see and he's a charm..he has never bitten me (well scince he grew from a baby ) and is the most tamest snake ever matter fact he let's me help him shed by rolling his skin from his nose all the way down to his tail as he's blind and can't see objects to rub against
Thank you. It has been a while since I filmed this video. I have sense taken in a albino boa with one eye. Unfortunately even after vet visits and meds he died (I only had him a week). People don't seem to understand snakes like small spaces. I also owned a dwarf retic (9ft) and his first owner kept him in a fish tank that was long enough, but he didn't have much width room. When I took him in I kept him in a 6x3x18 vision cage which was huge. And he began having temperament problems. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Unboxing Video of my new 4 baby corn snakes!!!!!!

How to feed your corn snake!
Sort of a how-to on feeding. Doesn't require much explaining. It's mostly monkey-see monkey-do!
I am going to get a rose boa in five days, it has black and yellow stripes
and thank you so much for making this video because I am now just learning
how I can feed my new baby boy!
my baby cornsnake eats pinkys too but the first time he ate he went for the
head but the other day he ate it from the back. ive been looking up stuff
but is it okay if he ate it from the back?
The previous comment was perfect but just to add, a couple things1) make sure the food it thawed and warmed or else the snake won't pick up the heat signatures2) if you're not squeamish, try braiding the mouse or rat to release its scent, kinda gross but worth it (Google it) //m.wikihow.com/Feed-a-Snake
+gracie betteridge Hi Gracieensure that your enclosure has an appropriate temperature is he in a new environment that can cause stress? is the food live or frozen/thawed?
