I just wanted to add a PSA regarding this technique! I am currently using
this technique on my knees and ankles, and as I was applying the product,
some of it dripped down onto my shin and other areas on my knees that
weren't calloused. Now I have dark, ugly BURNS marks on my skin in the
exact places the chemical touched my skin! It seems to be helping the dark
calloused spot on my knees, but now I'm going to have to figure out what to
do about my brand-new dark burn scars on my legs! Please be careful with
this chemical, apply sparingly and carefully, if at all!
HA! Girl! I tried this on my face a long time ago. I was fed up with
these two black spots the size of a pea on each side of my face. I did it
because some face products have salicylic acid in them. So, I was like,
why not? Girl! I'll tell you why not! It BURNED the skin from my face
all the way down to the white meat! It burned like hell! But, with me
being who I am, I stuck it out. I finally went to wash it off and was
horrified. All was not lost. I had to wait for the color to come back,
little by little. In the end, the black spots were gone and my skin had
returned to it's normal shade. I don't recommend anyone put this on their
face, but, I can understand putting it on the knees or even the elbows. At
least I'm know that I'm not the only one to experiment.
+Brandie Jeanette You are absolutely right about the chemical peel. I've thought about having one done, but, after getting off of that roller coaster, I'm afraid to do anything else like that! LOL!
I forgot to add that I tried it AGAIN about 2 years ago, and it didn't not work. It just made the spots turn black, but, they never dried up and peeled off. So now, I had a double whammy because it looked even worse than what it did originally. So, I had to figure out how to remove the spots. I purchased a PMD which helped a lot and devised a facial cleansing regimen and employed some other products. This all helped to get me back to normal. Now, I just have hyperpigmentation dots that you see a lot of people with. I now use black soap and coconut oil, vitamin C serum, and Chromabright. The Chromabright makes the dead skin peel off and helps to lessen the appearance the appearance of (hair) bumps on the face. I know that this was about the knees, but, I just wanted to share my story to warn people not to put the salicylic acid on their face. I did it out of desperation. I hope no one else gets to that point.
+onyxspirals YIKES!!! You gave your face a chemical peel! Believe it or not thats what its supposed to do....literally kill the top layer of skin and force your body to build new skin...your better than me because I'd be a big ol baby about it...

Moonage daydream (arnold corns version) David Bowie
David Bowie--Moonage daydream (Arnold Corns version) Love Bowie, and Love this song :) Come on strong girl, lay the heavy trick on me The church of man, ...
"Moonage Daydream" I'm an alligator I'm a mama-papa coming for u I'm the
space invader, I'll be a rock 'n' rollin bitch for you Keep your mouth
shut, you're squawking like a pink monkey bird And I'm busting up my brains
for the words Keep your 'lectric eye on me babe Put your ray gun to my head
Press your space face close to mine, love Freak out in a moonage daydream
oh yeah! Don't fake it baby, lay the real thing on me The church of man,
love Is such a holy place to be Make me baby,
Here's the chords anyway: Verse: F A Dm Dm7 G Bflat F A Dm F G chorus:
Eflat Dm G Eflat Dm G Eflat Dm G F G. The verse is the same as the Ziggy
version only transposed from D to F. Guess he lowered it on the remake to
make it easier to sing: the Corns pitch almost defeats even him at some
points. The chorus chords are entirely different from the zig version, and
give the song a more emotional feel, while the zig chords come over as more
sort of high energy, to me anyway....
Hahaa... One day I came home from school & all my wall pics had gone!
Trash-canned & binned!! This is the first time I've seen the pic of Bowie
sitting on the steps, blue shirt, pink scarf, since then (1973!!!) Did I
really buy the teen girls mag 'Jackie' just for Bowie pics? Yes! Fact is
most of us cool kids did. It was about being different, though not
'toadally gay', as some would like to think. Appreciation of an exceptional
artiste. Thanx
Arnold Corns: 1971 band consisting of Bowie on guitar and vocals, his
costume designer Freddi Burretti (his stage name was Rudi Valentino) as
lead vocalist, Mick Ronson on guitar, Trevor Bolder on bass, Mick
Woodmansey on drums and Mark Carr Pritchard on guitar. This collaboration
released three tracks - early versions of "Moonage Daydream" and "Hang Onto
Yourself" and the song "Man in the Middle" (written by Mark Carr Pritchard)
Sounds like a very early demo attempt compared to the Ziggy version. The
rhythm is very pedestrian, clumping along like a pair of old hobnail boots,
and the vocal is terrible, Bowie on a serious off day. And I doubt ANY of
the Ziggy band play on this, despite what it says above, unless they all
were doing a "Boys Keep Swinging" and swapping each others instruments !
But even then, I think they would do a better job than this !
Just goes to show Bowie's "throw enough shit at the wall some of it will
stick and then move on" attitude. Not into this version stylistically, but
lyrically it has a bit more bite. Obviously was modified to fit into the
Ziggy narrative, the album version is one of my all time favourite songs.
Reminds me of being 19 and in love. I thought that's what he was singing
about. And nobody will ever prove me wrong.
"Moonage Daydream" CONTINUED< PART 2 of Lyrics Make me know you really care

moonage daydream oh yeah! Freak out, far out, in out
Ok it's E flat major - which makes it a totally different change than we
have on the Ziggy version. I've always preferred the change on the Corns
and now I know why. And the second chord is D minor! Totally different
chordal relationship to the Ziggy version.
I love the stardust version, the opening rif just imedietly draws your
attention ,and the whole song is perfectley crafted ...except for that
flute solo that shit sounds funky as hell ,and not in a good way .fucks wit
the flow and the mood of the song
I read the comments and suddenly I see my previous account name, which
means I have seen this before. I have no memory of it :O Which is really
sad! I usually remember everything Bowie-way for years and years. What I
really mean is this is great ;)
I must admit it does grow on you the more you hear it, but I suppose that's
what you should expect from "The Master" ! Still not convinced Ronno plays
on this though ! Maybe he was playing the drums and Woody was playing the
guitar ! ha ha
I had a 7 inch vinyl of hang onto yourself by arnold corns but some bastard
stole it maybe 30 years ago, oh well. my take on it was that bowie was
insecure and wanted to know his if music would be successful under another
name
I'd love to know exactly what those piano chords on the chorus are and how
they're voiced cos the first one sure as hell doesn't sound like straight B
flat major - sounds like something altogether richer and more majestic...
The reason David chose the Ziggy photo shoot in Heddon Place off Regents
Street was because that's where Ward's photo studio was. Is his name plate
still up on his door? You have a still in this vid.
David Bowie - Arnold Corns - Hang On To Yourself 7" Single......
An embryonic Ziggy known as 'Arnold Corns' .. "From small acorns as they day ...." x xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx For more David ...
ok people....arnold corns was not a person bowie collaborated with, and no
"arnold" doesnt sing on this record. the arnold corns is the name of bowies
band before became ziggy. taken from the early, syd barrett-era song
"arnold layne". sort of a pre-ziggy thing he was trying on...so u have
these early versions of songs that ended up on ZSATSFM like moonage and
this one. check out the arnold corns version of "moonage". its the cutest
thing ever.
+kkh369 Yup. If you contrast the two song versions, man what a difference. Bowie's version is much more sophisticated. "Arnold Corns" made it sound lollipop-ish (not my cup of tea).
so while this designer guy, freddie burretti was supposed to be "arnold corns", really it was just bowie and the spiders. this burretti dude sang one song but i dont think it was ever released. he was a fashion designer...see my above comment about "arnold corns"
