Yamaha CA-610 II
Vintage 1978 Yamaha CA-610 II This thing sounds great !!! An under rated 50 watts / channel .... speakers playing are a set of Infinity SM-150's..... this video ...
The Yamaha CA-610 II in this video also had some contact issues ... all
contacts and controls were sprayed with MG Chemical control cleaner and MG
Chemical contact cleaner .... give the pots a good spray with contact
cleaner and then work the control and leave it to dehydrate .... then give
it a small blast of control cleaner with lubricant and work it in .... your
controls will be smooth and scratchless and you can enjoy that fantastic
amp for many years to come !!
I just bought the MG Chemicals contact cleaner. No need for the
lubrication. It will attract dust/dirt again inside the pots ! That's
basically like using WD-40 which is a no-no for pots.
Thanks for the comment Mr Hunt ...... that TX-NR809 looks like a pig all
on its own !!! My amp has given me no issues what so ever and I am very
happy with it !!! I have upgraded my preamp to a Sansui AU-999 and running
it through the Onkyo at 10 watts is like a Who concert in my living
room !!!
Ha Ha in that rack it does look like a Huge Smokie stuffed into in a little
hotdog bun. That's what she said !!! We will have to keep an eye out for a
better pre amp for you. I still need that Philips for my Nikko 450.
Great song great Amp, I've been wanting that amp since 98 just got the
onkyo tx-nr 809 with that Amp I will have created a Monster, When I get it
all do a Video.
