Hi there, the barrel also attaches to the mag tube which is held on by the magazine lock nut at the end, this combined with the receiver holds the barrel securely in place. Thanks Ferg

went for my first skeet shooting, now I can't stop watching Benelli videos! its the only shotgun I find interesting enough to buy. hopefully I get one sometime soon!
