I live 7 minutes from where he stands, but I am in Kansas--with early voting--I voted a week before election day. I feel bad for them to want to vote and have a personnal loss prevent that. Missouri get early voting.

It shouldn't have to be so hard. Voting is a two-step process: you register, you vote. If he can't be there, they should give him an absentee ballot without a second thought.

Prine is the closest thing America has to Mark Twain. Everything he writes seems to be brilliant, but simple. You think to yourself, "Why couldn't I have written that"? But of course, only Prine could have written it.....pure genius.

+Kim Carstens That's a great comparison! I think a lot about John Prine but I never made that connection. John Prine has lots of connections to Kentucky (I guess that's where his parents were from?) So not far down the river from Twain. Something about that area.

Haha. Thanks. Yeah, the people were amazing. Just throughout the whole trip. I was really surprised at how eager everyone was to help. Especially since I looked like a Mexican Bin Laden and smelled like a gorilla's ass crack for large chunks of the trip. Definitely a very cool experience.
