Seriously...one of the most incredible live vocal performances you will
ever hear!! And I'm not even into country music...I'm a prog rock fan.
The chick has serious pipes!!!
Never really got into Jethro Tull...Huge, Huge Rush fan here. I also currently love the bands Dream Theater & Coheed & Cambria. Back in their prime days of the early 90's I was big into Smashing Pumpkins and Queensryche too.
Their song "Take Me As I Am" is a hard rock song & sounds.Jen has the
ability to sing just about anything. They are my absolute favorites in this
era of music when rap / hip hop doms pop. This is the music like the onld
bon jovi songs, hard rocking...kick butt and take names later kind of rock
we used to be able to experience and enjoy which seems to have faded in
this era of music. They are very refreshing & I have all 3 albums They cont
to get better with ea album. Love ya Jennifer & Kristian.
I gotta say the recorded version sounds smoother and vocally better but for
this sound it should have been recorded that way these lyrics hold such
power and emotion the right voice can set them free and make the audience
truly experience the song I absolutly love the recorded version on the cd
but the raw emotion hurt pain and anger in Jennifer's voice and appearance
give the song life it breaks the bonds and lets the rawness to her singing
bring out the raw power behind the lyrics
@MoveOnDotOrgg : she has a great voice, that note ur talking about was
terrific...she wasn't off key at all so i don't know why your dog would be
running lol. i think you probably just don't like the type of key she was
singing in, but it's suppose to be done like that...it's a certain
tone...listen to the Bee Gees and you'll hear them sing in the same key,
ppl just really don't do it anymore these days, but she did great. lol i
luv'd it.
I like the structure of this song just so much ... it begins very quiet,
only the guitar and the voice. Than every other instrument is joining,
until there is a big break, than it goes down to just the guitar and the
voice again ... then, again, the other instruments ... the big finale and
at the end ... only guitar and voice ... it is like an always upcoming
wave, ready to take you away!
@SweetSpottedleaf As a fan of both I don't agree, listening to Taylor's
full album tells you why it won, even the unreleased songs are great.
'Breathe', 'Hey Stephen', 'Tell Me Why', 'The Way I Loved You', but I'm
just a fan of both who can see both points of view.
absolutetly,a gr8 talent, fell for this group when i first heard "baby
girl"and have neva stopped listening, she iz really one of a kind with her
vocal range ,and i agree she gives it all in her performances ,score of
10,they get a 15 absolutely beyewdyful
@SweetSpottedleaf I hate that when that happens. Sugarland's album should
have won that night. The same thing when Martina McBride got ripped off and
Carrie Underwood won.. CMA needs to hire new ppl on their board and have
the real true artists win!
ist time i heard their song ,baby girl,i fell in luv with sugarlands
music, now they are at the top of the country tree in my book.Jennifer
Nettles ,had a ruff start, but look at her now,an awesome voice, and a classy
lady,well done sugarland
oh god there's a great thing about country music....they've all worked hard
for what they have, deserve everything they earn, and are genuinely
talented people...not like those "singers" that pop music spews out. no
offense...
I've always like their music but I absolutely fell in love with them and
their music even more after hearing this song. Jennifer has such an amazing
voice and they are both such great people and performers.
she is absolutely amazing... she puts everything in her performances and
you could feel what she was singing about.. its incredible.. her range is
amazing... definitely one of my favorites of all time :)
@sweetlikez If it makes anyone feel better, Reba has hardly ever won album
of the year! And she officially has more #1 albums than any other female
country artist now. Now that's being ripped!
omg! this song does something for me everytime...i also love their song
"stay" even though i wouldn't share a man lol it's a good song about
different viewpoints in a relationship.
Jennifer makes you believe she's living every song she sings. True talent,
heart, and soul in every song and performance. They're as good live as
recorded. That's rare these days!
I have a question didn't Sugarland and Adele do a song together at some
award ceremony? i don't know if i am wrong... but i could have sworn they
did...
Personally I think that they are both amazing. But Jennifer has emitted to
not warming up before live TV performances. But she always sounds
incredible.
she looks gorgeous here but i personally think the recorded version sounds
a lot better. still a beautiful performance though
Sugarland Red Dirt Road
Sugarland singing red dirt road at the brooks and dunn last rodeo tribute. LOVE her story about the tattoos lol shes hilarious and i love her No copyright ...
She is the best of all country singer girl vocalist..she can even beat some
other vocalist form outside the country music...believe it or not..watch
her and lady gaga when they perform together singing you and I....
Me too!! I've seen this many, many times and cry every time, all Sugarland and her songs like "THIS ANGEL" she sang on Conan (which blew him away) and she performed it on 2014 CMA Country Christmas (which she hosted again and it was amazing) and I don't think there was a dry eye there or at home, I cried like a baby!!The world needs more sweet souls like Jennifer and Kristian and their real people, what you see and hear is what you get and we know in this climate of dog eat dog plus hateful words on posts about people (that the hateful, racists or bully's don't even know) out there in cyber-world is so sad. We have enough evil in this world without ignorance adding to it!!PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL✌️❤️✌️
what a beautiful song, Jennifer nettles has an amazing voice and Kristian
bush is a fantastic musician. i could listen to them all day. thanks for
posting this. cheers
+Alexander Evans Me too! I know they went through a rough time and I know that hurt their hearts deeply. I often wonder how much (both personal & legally) it may effect when they can do what they want?!? It's just a thought! Hope you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year Alexander Evans!!!
I have no doubt we will and it'll be amazing!! They're both so talented and I have no doubt they knew they needed a break, first so Jennifer could enjoy being a new mama at a little slower pace. Foremost they're accumulating so much new material for great songs, they'll be back exactly when SUGARLAND is suppose to be back!!!!!!!
..It takes guts for anyone to cover a sugarland tune, but Ronnies
rendition of Stay is nothing but breathtaking!..He really needs to record
this for an upcoming album, even if he never intends on releasing it.. As
for jennifer...easily one of the greatest voices ever in any genre, Ronnie
and jennifers duet is beautiful!
Just look at the eyes of Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, and Reba and it's
clear that Ronnie Dunn is a quintessential voice paying well deserved
tribute to a voice for the ages in Jennifer Nettles.
@shariahall2011 the name of the song is FLY the only other version I've
heard is THE DIXIE CHICKS on their FLY album it came out in 1999! Hope that
helps! Have a nice day,luv. :)
Dixie Chicks did a beautiful cover of Let Him Fly, and Ronnie's and
Jennifer's is stunning. My favourite though is the original performed by
its exquisite writer, Patty Griffin.
only Ronnie Dunn could sing this song and do it any justice other than
Jennifer singing it. her singing it can't be topped. but Ronnie sure does a
hell of a job.
