Sugarland performing the song "Tonight" from the album The Incredible Machine in New York City, October 18, 2010. Directed by Kenny Ortega. Part of ...
If you want to hear singers with GOOD voices then you NEED to tune into
Country Music because that's where MOST of the singers with the AMAZING
voices are as is evident with Jennifer Nettles, Carrie Underwood, Sara
Evans, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Deana Carter, Kellie
Pickler, George Strait, Neil McCoy, Easton Corbin, Joe Nichols, Josh
Turner, Chris Young, Billy Currington, Brad Mates from Emerson Drive, etc.
In Country Music they don't need nor do they use ANY Auto Tune. :)
I've seen Sugarland three times. The first time was with the orginal three.
I have to say that Jennifer has been amazing each and every time. Her voice
is unlike anybody's in music. She is so talented. What is so great about
there music is we all can relate to there songs. The song I relate to the
most is Make Me Believe. Take time and listen to this song we all live in
that song.
I love this song, this CD came out the week before I took a guy I liked to
a Lady A concert. The day of the concert I kept listening to this song over
and over, because it described how I felt. But unfortunately the guy just
wanted to be friends. His lost, but I love this song, and the whole
Incredible Machine album, and I love Sugarland.
For me, I feel like this song would play in movie during a night scene in a
big city like Los Angeles or New York. Like during a scene where a family
driving away, leaving the big city and you see the skyline at night in the
background. I dont know, but anyways, I like this song!!!
@rinxsessh This is pretty mid-range. I actually can't sing very low and I
never have any trouble with this song. On another note, Jennifer has one of
the most impressive voices I've ever heard outside of Broadway. Excellent
control and placement. Makes every note count. :)
@mastermyx Jennifer Nettles doesn't need auto tune...she is one of the best
in the business. She proved it as she sang over Rihanna a few weeks ago.
The only other female artist I have heard sing live as well as her is
Melissa Etheridge.
Hummmm...I watched the Red Dress version of Jennifer singing this same song
and loved it. But this time....that's right ...this time...I couldn't help
falling in love with her. You see my friends....Sugarland Is How I
Roll....!!!
@daancincurlz Yeah I don't remember what the movie was but this guy sat
outside this girls window in her driveway with a boombox and playing a love
song and Jen said If that happened now adays this song would be the one
played!
Jennifer wrote a blog about how this song was inspired from a movie scene
(I forget which one!) But I can SOO envision this song being played the
same way it was in that movie. I absolutely LOVE it - you guys are awesome
I honestly dont think ive ever heard someone that can sing live like this
before in my entire life...Jennifer is simply amazing!!! she dont need a
studio to sound good,...this is what a PERFORMER/SINGER is all about!!!!
Ahhhhh...nice, ain't it? She never wavers or flutters. Incredible Machine
is right - a pitch machine with incredible accuracy and consistency.
Engineers in the recording studio must love to see her coming up the road.
This was BY FAR one of the highlights of Monday's show. This new album is
by far Sugarlands BEST. I think this could win ALBUM OF THE YEAR at the
CMA's and ACM's! I can't wait to see Sugarland on Tour in 2011!
Great song. Two questions: A wek or so ago, there was a full length video
of the 10/18 concert. Is it still available, and if not did anyone dwnload
it? Second what is thetatoo on Jennifer's left wrist?
lol i remember a couple of years ago tour busses with sugarland on it
passed me but i had no idea really what it quite was..like i knew but
didn't think over it too much...the music is so good
Got to be one of the best female vocalist around at the moment esp singing
this song, her vocal range is second to none ,dont know how old she is but
she is also one good looking woman.
This is the BEST voice in any music genre...power, control and just plain
fantastic. Her vocals are not auto tuned and spot on time after time after
time after time.
If you dont like this song. Or anything she sings...Then I just dont know
what to say....because shes amazing..vocal range is amazing everything is
great.
You don't know a god damn thing about Jennifer Nettles, so keep your fat
ass mouth shut, and your thoughts to yourself. I will stick up for Jennifer
Nettles anyday. For one thing, they didn't know that the stage would
collapse, and those dumbasses shouldn't have been close to the stage. Point
is, don't accuse someone, or say something about them that you don't have
any proof of. If You want to chew me out or agree with my ass, you can
email me at [email protected]
This song is describes the meaning of my life! Not even kidding! I live in
a small farmers town, and I know I was born to live in a city! It's going
to be really hard to leave my parents though! I just gotta fly away! :)

Aside from the amazing vocals, this performance is a comment on sexuality
and the beauty of ALL love. Music and Words transcend all differences, and
bullies need to realize they're just like everyone else...love and
friendship and art are universal!!!
A video I made from one of my favorite Sugarland songs Keep you. I claim no rights to the song or the picture. I just found a good picture that I thought matched ...

To me, its more like a love/hate thing. They are still together but he
doesn't want to be there. He says hurtful things to her. Maybe abuse
physically. You get use to the pain and numb to the sting till you can't
feel anything. Maybe break up, you tried to explain it but I couldn't hear
it as if your words were my tears. That can also be interpreted as he was
explaining why the abuse. This song came out when I was abused. That's how
I felt about it then.
I think everyone will interpret the song differently, from their own
personal experiences i suppose, but for me its about a guy using a girl. He
knows she loves him and would pretty much do anything for him, but he is
just using her. She knows this too but she wants something with him even if
its not a relationship, rather than having nothing. Because without him she
goes back to being all alone. "it's a bittersweet victory knowing someone
else wanted me".
Same here, we told each other everything. He was always there for me, and
still is, but he is just my friend now:( I have to see him with her every
week. And i have to watch him give her the long hugs he used to give to me.
@jajjjrudd1 ... Well to me she's so in love with the person she's with
she's holding on to him even though he's changed from who she fell for. She
knows she deserves more but she can't bare to walk away. Or you can take a
completely different look at it and think of it as her singing to herself.
About how someone wanted to help her with depression but she couldn't bring
herself to let it happen. Its all interpretation.
I have a friend who just got out of an 8 year relationship, she was with
the guy since she was 14. He was and amazing man to her and a wonderful
friend. I had never seen them anything but happy. 2 weeks ago while on a
date he ends it for some other girl and today i find out that he had been
cheating on her for over 2 years. She still cries her eyes out and wishes
she hadn't given him a chance to make things right.
@jajjjrudd1 i know this is 3 months late but personally, i think this is
about a relationship that has ended. maybe he broke up with her? and she
still loves him and would do anything to get him back. she doesnt know how
life is going to be without him since shes gotten so used to life with him.
and, i think, she only thing she wants in life right now is to be happy
again! this is just my interpretation though!
Its not necessarily about divorce, more so about an ending relationship.
She goes out and sleeps with someone, or tries to at least, until she can't
go through with it because she's thinking of her ex. Whether they have
officially split or are simple in the 'ending' stage, I'm not sure. But it
really just deals with the icy pain where you go completely numb.
I know we don't know each other; however, I too just lost my husband of 21
years at the age of 42 to a massive stroke. I feel your pain and understand
totally. We were both lucky enough to have wonderful men for as long as we
did. I will pray for you.
Great Song they are the Best Group in Country, they were GREAT last night
and ITISWHATITIS48 you have 2 forgive and once you get over that you can
move on! I have been there you may not know it now but your breakup will
make you a Stronger Person!
this song makes me cry.. last night was the first time I heard it.. and it
made me cry! Great performance last night by Sugarland.. and great class
act asking Brooks and Dunn to come up and speak even if they didn't want
too!
Maybe she is talking about how she loves someone who she shouldnt love. You
know .. A person that she cannot have, and he loved her too, and broke her
heart. You loved me until I loved you more. Fitting. I dont know
Life DOES go on. I have been through a few HEARTACHES in my time. It took
me 39 years to find the Love of My Life. I love him more than life itself.
Just be patient, and your true love will find you.
I can relate to this.....been through this with one of my exes...he's still
my friend...but he's with one of my best friends and happier than he's ever
been with anyone else....it really hurts :(
I started ballin my eyes out when I heard this because my boyfriend said he
liked my best friend and I started crying and I looked up sad songs and
clicked on this..and I cant help but cry..
the whole song is soo damn amazing. :) Now iiiiii can't laugh can't cry and
i can't run can't hiiiiiiiiideee The whole album is great. I hope this song
becomes a single on their album.
Ok someone explain the meaning in this song. is it about divorce and
dealing with being alone now? sorry to be slow..it is a pretty song just
rying to understand
