I personally own a klx250s.stock it's completely gutless.but after doing carb kit.bigger air box snorkel.and fmf q4 pipe with a megabomb header and for my preference I put a carbon fiber heat shield on it.its a completely different bike now. and I haven't put a big bore in it yet.i have about 800 into the mods.i could use a lowering link considering I'm only 5'7 but overall just changing the exhaust opens it up and makes it alot more touchy

how do you think the drz compares to the klx 250? I'm 6foot 2"" tall 225lbs? looking at buying a klx 250 and putting big bore kit in it or doing a drz 400s

+revZoot thanks for the quick response man, yea thats what Starting to find out on the klx it's expensive for the mods, another option is a kdx 200 I was looking at versus the drz, desicions desicions lol

+Joe Blo Honestly, I'd say you'll get more bang for the buck with the DRZ. The problem I have with the KLX is mods are SO expensive.

Hey rev, the exaust makes a real serious differance . Dont know if u have, or even still have the klx. I jetted mine and put a slip on 2 brothers on it and omg! dunno the hp but I can tq wheelie in 1st and 2nd gear. All stock gearing. I put a 140 heidenau k60 on the back which seemed to hurt the power a bit but imma ger it down a little but I can still pull 100 mph on flat w no head wind. oh and im sitting at about 9k miles

+Adam Bish I really like the 450 enduros (crf450x, wr450f, klx450, etc) and would recommend something like that! It has a little more guts to get down the road.

+Adam Bish A DRZ400 would fit you great, but I'd recommend getting something with a little more power. The DRZ400 just wasn't enough for me, really.
