As soon as I heard you talk about how you can walk them on a leash I knew
you were another clueless owner of the species and what the care
requirements truly are. This is in no way an easy lizard to care for. For
example, you've got him in a 10 gallon which is 20"x12"x12 you cannot have
the proper temperature gradients with that size of tank. You contribute to
the 99% of people who end up killing these lizards yearly by introducing
him to the horrific care you're providing. You need 130 degree basking spot
which cannot be possible because you'll kill him since he can't get out of
the heat. Don't buy a reptile you can't care for and DO NOT make a care
video when you know nothing about the species.
Ok first that's a ten gallon second you need more substrate third u need a
cool side fourth they don't get five feet sixth u need a UVB seventh he
needs more heat because the lamp is so high up and they need a high basking
spot and that's a 100 watt maximum shell so the bulb can't be over 100
watts so he doesn't have enough heat........dude you know nuthin I have a
baby sav and he's in a 40 gallon he's 9 inches the cage has a cool end and
a hot end and has a lot of topsoil/sand mix maybe you sh
Those numbers u guys Type in here on Cage-size's are just unbelivable. It's
cruel and IN NO WAY healthy for the animal. A savannah monitor Moves around
and does not stay 1 place for long. ( I study Savannah monitors in the wild
) that means U need a RATHER large Cage in the early ages too.Pfff well as
long as u can sit down infront of ur pet and look at it, think to ur self
and have a good fealin. feeling sorry for ur pets.
another care video from kids who have no idea what their talking about,
just because you own the species doesn't mean make a care video, you don't
even know what its like as an adult, because you haven't had it that long,
your just recieting what you've read in care sheets. even i wouldn't
consider making any care video and ive kept the most challenging of snake
species and have years of experience
calm your tits everybody don't say something that's rude to them for
something really stupid. Yes it's to small but it's their savannah monitor
they put it in any tank. But you don't have to be all up on their case say
you stupid fuq and stuff!
yea all u guys did was search up "savannah monitor care" on YouTube didn't
you almost all your info is wrong u cant recommend the monitor to anyone
because u haven't even raised one to full adult hood.
im only 13 and i do not own monitor lizards but that is not proper care and
that is not a 20 gallon tank plus these monitors dont get 4-5 feet they get
2-3 feet get your facts straight morons
ok, get a bigger cage because u need a cool side and your water bowl is too
small. Also they get 2-3 ft. 3rd and most important, give that lizard to
someone who knows the proper care.
Don't get too excited folks. No one in their right mind is going to take
serious advice from these kids. Take my advice, don't buy a Savannah
monitor. this one is likely dead by now ;)
great video guys and not quite 4-5 feet females 2.5-3 and males 3-3.5
sometimes 4 feet but other wise good choice on the cage because they do
prefer smaller spaces at a young age
@shydviet hey, who crapped in your cornflakes, they said it was 10g so they
got the size wrong, but that doesnt meen you should hope for a severe and
highly dangerous injury
@SuperPensfan8771 this baby should be in a 30gallon-35gallon, because how
easy they get stressed, abit older than a 40gallon, bigger than that you
kneed to construct a pen
btw they hate glass tanks and your going to need 8x4x4 viv for an adult and
that one you have there needs now a 4x2x2 thats a baby. btw that tank it
too small...
U shouldnt have a stinkin moniter, even if its a baby, in a 20 gal and tht
looks like a 10 gal, which is horrible!!!!
