Crazy light morph you got there man, I have two that differ too. Male is
light coloured (not as light as this one though), the female is brown with
bright orange on the sides, she has amazing colours... she had a poorly
stuck shed when I bought her, and I thought she was just brown.. you can
imagine my surprise when I got her to peel with the right temps and lots of
baths. Great vids, I have subbed.. check out mine too!
Feeding pinkies to my baby Savannah Monitor he ate 2 out or 3 .Just to let everyone know i don't feed any of my pets live mice or so on...Hope you enjoy my ...
i have a ? i know alot but i was wondering it is a rare treat to give your
Beardie bits of Chicken or is that False. I know um monitors can have
chicken but what about Beardies i offered Zeva a very small piece of
chicken meat and she actually ate it but that was it.
Hello Tunerguy23 ;-) I say false never chicken. Some people do different in
feeding them so i don't recommend it.Funny my Bearded Dragons love to eat
if you put anything it front of them they will eat it. lol
Make sure you get him in the right enclosure ASAP. Without the proper
humidity or burrow they'll be stressed out and diet within a year or 2. And
CAT FOOD IS TERRIBLE. They need sandy dirt soil so they can burrow in and
sleep in at night. It should be 100 percent humid In the burrows which help
In preventing shedding problems. I hope you correct the husbandry quick.
Your set up is suitable for like a chameleon or something. It's not a
desert animal!
He does have a hide that is sprayed down I just did not show it in the video and the person at the reptile expo told me that he'd already been fed on cat food.

+Kamerun LaBrier Kamerun that cage may not be that big but it's bigger then you think. So what happen was is when i went to go feed him to show people i had to get him to come into the light so he climbed over his water pushing it more towards him so it does look extra small. But that cage is really small.
I just came from Dave's channel to check out the monitor. I have some
constructive criticism. In my opinion, your enclosure is grossly
insufficient and not suitable for that animal, and that's just at the size
that it's at right now. I haven't done much research on monitors, but I
can't imagine that's even close to an acceptable setup. I personally (as
far as reptiles) own a 5ft Iguana, Blue Tongue Skink, and Bearded Dragon.
My Iguana has it's own bedroom to walk around in (though I'm going to be
building a huge enclosure), the bearded dragon has a 5ft by 3ft by 3ft
enclosure and the Blue Tongue has one the same size as the Dragon. I'm not
saying to give the monitor an entire room, I'm just saying that you
shouldn't buy an animal if you can't provide to it better than the minimum
that's expected. I can be totally wrong about my estimates (I'll watch a
monitor care video after this), but I can't imagine that's okay. If I saw
someone selling that on Craigslist, I would buy it just because I would
consider that cruel. Again, I could be wrong, but I think it needs a total
makeover.
+Vupzy | Gaming Videos! I keep lizards in small cages sometimes, very much so when taming. I like to keep them right next to me in the living room so they can get used to all the noises and sights. Also don't make any hides for it yet, they tend to hide and not get used to u. Big cages are great if you can go in and walk around with them.

You can only do as Dave does, lol. It's a cool thing and very gratifying to tame an animal (especially if mistreated). I'm sure it'll work out. Also (in response to the other commenter), I'm not sure how long it took me to type. I street race for a living lol so I'm just chilling outside waiting for shit to go down.
Awesome! That's very appreciated. My iguana was mistreated before I got him, missing a portion of his tail, and very edgy. I'm not trying to be an ass, lol. Having an awesome enclosure is actually something to be proud of, makes the animal, other people, and yourself happy when looking at it. I'm not saying anything you don't know, though. Cool!
+Kamerun LaBrier We just rescued it from people who kept it in the dark and kept it in that cage it's entire life. We are building a cage for it at the moment stay in touch with my channel the cage is going to be huge. That cage it's in is temporary for now until we build him a big one. I totally agree with you i think that the cage is so small. Don't worry man it's going to get a big one soon!
+Leachy My moms boyfriends going to build it its going to be huge and we are going to take pictures of 3 steps of it being build :) My moms boyfriend is an expert with reptiles hes taming it for me and it will be mine soon.

nice im thinking about getting one. if you can send me any personal info
about savannah monitors that would be great!! Ya I only have 4 exotics
green iguana, uromastyx and 2 fancy leopard geckos. but ya if you can give
me anymore info on why I should get one that would be great.
Can you do a video on how much all of it ends up costing? On all the
reptile bedding, the food, and how much the cage and lizard would be. In a
year I might get one a savannah lizard :)
this is just her temporary enclosure and currently building for permanent
enclosure which is 8 feet by 8 feet by 4 feet and I will be using bioactive
substrate which I use with all my reptiles
+Roger Chamberlain That is wonderful! Great job. I can't wait to see more videos of your Sav. :)
