It's important for us as a people to truly understand our personal history and that of our people. Blacks from the slave trade aren't from East Africa and were not of Ethiopian descent. To me it makes no point replace one false truth with another. I've started my own genealogy research and I'm talking to older family members to get their stories. Doing this I'm building my true history and an understand of my ancestors journey to me.
