I didn't know about the "revolving door" concept. I always just put my back
to the ball and started tracking it when the ball went over my head into
view. I'll try this tomorrow as I practice! :D Maybe you can teach an old
dog new tricks.
I think its more difficult for a middle to have different numbers of steps
to the take-off moment (2 and 3) dependingon starting from position 4/3 or
2.

Wow we are lucky his home training center is 20 mins from our house in
State College Pa I see so many people traveling and renting rooms. My 7
year old will be attending Sundays and this summer. How did you guys that
attended like it?
Damn these guys are complete animals! I dont think the average person knows
how much hard work and aggressive training it takes to compete at this
level.

Wow that was just complete shit. Extend with appel, then lunge. Back hand
has to open up as well during a lunge, with the palm facing up. Make sure
your front leg is bent at about a 90 degree angle and your rear leg is
completely straight. As to the student, lose some weight. Stay on the balls
of your feet, and keep mobile. Get a better jacket too, and don't wear
street shoes on the strip. My final advice is; just stop fencing and never
pick up a weapon ever again. That goes for both of you.
Disastrous... a) they are foils you are using, not epees unlike what the
title promotes. b) footwork is disasterous c) hand before foot when lunging
d) that jacket is far too big e) look where the blade of the guy in the
jacket points when he is on the defensive I could go on and on...
i like your attitude about learning to fence naturally instead of by rules,
but that was some of the most dreadful footwork i've ever seen. and why is
the title "epee fencing" if you're using foils? funny stuff man.
I've been fencing for all of two months and can see how pointless this was:
also, they should be wearing proper equipment even with steam épées,
breeches and socks.
