Keelin Godsey Interview: 2012 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials
Keelin Godsey is a world class hammer thrower. I've done hundreds of interviews with athletes over the past 30 years as a sports broadcaster and Keelin's story ...
Thank you, Keelin, for having the bravery to go out and work every day.
When I was in high school (and in the very beginning of realizing I am
queer) I quit playing softball, in large part because of how different I
felt from the other girls in the locker room. I regret that decision every
day. I am so glad you are able to do what I could not. I read about you in
SI and my jaw dropped at how strong you are, in body and mind. Keep doing
what you love. You've got so many fans cheering for you.
Wow...Hard to imagine that a butch lesbian would risk her career because of
trannie pressure. All of you idiots, even those promising athletes with
wonderful ass-kicking futures, please, remove your head from your ass and
just be simple, sexy, powerful lesbians. Seriously, Keelan, just walk away,
have a great career as a lesbian and forget any of this trannie shit ever
existed for you.
Thank you so much Keelin for being so open and honest about your journey
Olympics or not you are a true hero! A huge thanks as well to the
interviewer for being educated, respectful and empowered during the
interview! We need more people like both of you in this world!!
I had to fight back tears watching your tribute to your mom. I care not
what anyone says,Flo-Jo is the greatest. Ever track record I ever broke,
and my track scholarship to a top college,Flo-Jo was apart of that. She
inspired a lil black boy in the south watching her on TV in 1988. I shed
tears in my freshman year in college in 1998 when she passed.........God
bless you Mary, continue singing with your amazing voice, you too inspire
someone watching you.
I love your voice Mary!!! Well done. Your mother would be so proud of
you!!! I know that one day my little girl will grow up and I hope she finds
the courage and strength to follow her dreams just like you did. You're a
good example to all!! xox
That was awesome. Boy you have your dad eyes and I love the hair. Thanks
for the update enjoy yourself and be safe. I am so glued to the the track n
field they may show you here. God Bless you.
