+Michele Lai The answer to that question is a very complex one and could take an entire episode to explore.I think that there are many things at play here. Old technology, the mysteries of the workings of a period time piece, the mysteries of the machining of various metal shapes and pieces to create a beautiful working clock. All sorts of things are present in these high quality videos.
Wow, only just found this! Spent the last few hours catching up on the
whole build. What truly amazing work - the precision and patience required
is mind boggling. Great video work, production and editing too - makes it
all a pleasure to watch. I'm hooked!
These video are amazing quality!!! And your machining skills are literally
perfect I can't wait to see this clock completely done! I also have one
question mostly because I think it would be cool to see you machine the
youtube play button, I mean after all you've already earned it! It would be
so cool to see you machine one out of brass and then blue it!
Excellent series, I get to learn a lot about fine finishing, and, also
would like to learn some of your production and editing skills... ;)
Thanks again for sharing, Pierre
