With that song - every last vestige of what hockey used to mean has been destroyed. Bring back the old Hockey Night in Canada or start showing the reruns of Bonanza.

@NightfireOP I hadn't heard that. Their cover of Saturday Night is the only song I like by them.......If you're asking (and not stating outright), I can say that CBC does use Elton John occasionally, specifically for Habs-Leafs or Habs-Bruins.
