Redditor here,
This "sportball" is for the weak of mind! Why it was only yesterday that I
woed a group of m'ladies by using my intellectual strength to win an
argument about how the true alpha male never plays sports, but instead
looks upon the males of lesser talent waste their useless energy on the
field!

Get out of the internet, you do not deserve any place here. Also please give a run down of that argument you formed that day when you resolved that the true alpha male does not play sports.
Men of Ice (4k Enhanced-JJFanvids)
NEW UPDATE!!! Problably my 2nd favourite canadian gtm movie of all time, "Ice Men" deals with the reunion of an old hockey team in a snowed cabin in the ...
I don't know why, but despite the bedroom scene, this didn't look that gtm
to me. It looks more like a reunion of straight guys or guys, some of whom
are straight and the others have to pretend to be. Obviously the two in bed
are hot for each other, but I don't expect them to show any sign of that in
the living room. By the time you make a video based on a film, you know the
film forward & backward. So you can tell me how right or wrong I am about
this one.
+Iakopa Monte Thanks. Sounds like the film is a downer. Bad news, but good to know. I like the way JJ can create beautiful, uplifting videos from even downer films by taking the right scenes out of context. His creations are not an endorsement of any film unless he recommends the film in the video description.
+givitawaynow "Problem is so little free time, so many new releases and tv shows to watch." Haha, you're mostly lucky to have this problem, and we're lucky to have you in the vanguard creating these wonderful responses to gay-themed works, many of which we would otherwise remain unaware of, to our loss.
+alwaysuseless I watched this film a long time ago so my memory is kinda blurry. Your overall impression is quite right but I think to remember that the guys in bed really had some kind of bro/romance in their past together, obviously the one tempted by that iron chest was hungup about it more than the other one. That's one of the important plots of the movie. Whatever the gtm level the movie was very interesting. I'm eager to rewatch the whole thing. Problem is so little free time, so many new releases and tv shows to watch.
American, but if I get a say I like the old one better. It's a childhood
thing. The new one is great though, and still sends chills up your spine.
Like many others, Gretzky walking on to the ice is well placed. What do you
think of when you think of 99? Anticipation. I think the computer generated
Orr and Lemieux goals were a bit much. Those moments need no enhancement of
any kind.
I love this new theme! but you still cant compare it to the original, as
the original is without a doubt the greatest. But the months leading upto
the debut of this song, I was soo.. worried that they would pick a song so
not worthy, and that nobody would like. This song as good as it is cant
replace the original, but I must say it is a dam good substitute.
I knew Mario Lemieux was a miracle worker, but this...in the space of a
couple seconds he changed from the 1991-style uniform to the mid-90s
version (with gold triangles trimmed in black on the shoulders) and back to
the1991 style. I've heard of a guy undressing a defenseman with a move, but
undressing and redressing himself? Awesome!!! ;-)
It's great seeing Gretzky facing off against Crosby, the famous Patrick Roy
'wink' when he robbed Luc Robitaille in the Finals, and of course...Bobby
Orr flying through the air as he scores the Cup winning goal for the Bruins
against the Blues. Those images...combined with this new music, gives me an
adrenaline rush EVERYTIME!!!
There's no return of the music we used to love, but I give CBC props for at
least trying to make an equally good intro. Of course people will put this
one down since they grew up with the other one, but I mean, this is also a
magnificent intro too. Just take this excellent new song and program your
brain to be accustomed to it.
Seeing as I felt your suggestion wasn't a bad idea, I did my own little
remix of the two. Granted it is FAR from professional, but I only spent
about 10 minutes on it, and I put it out there hoping someone with ACTUAL
editing skills will give it a go themselves. Anyway, hope some of you get a
kick out of it.
Did anyone else notice on the 3D cut to Lemieux they used the Penguins'
newer jerseys when in the video footage he is clearly wearing the old
style? I'm not nitpicking, just curious if I was the only one...
I could watch Lids hoist the Cup a million times and still get goosebumps.
What a great montage. But, as a true hockey fan, nothing can ever replace
the old theme. I grew up with that song every Saturday.
@icommentonurstuff I hope it's the first game scheduled for the beginning
of the new season. And it better be in Winnipeg. Let's not have their first
game be away or in one of those foreign arena games.
Yes, that's the whole point of it. Bring together the old and new. This
song's growing on me for sure! BTW, I think TSN ruined the original "hockey
theme" by putting it through the orchestra or whatever.
man the old theme was so much better and got you pumped. Sad day when they
let that go to TSN and them butcher it. TSN doesn't even have the same
thundering drums as CBC had. sigh
to tell the truth, I never thought the old theme was that good in the first
place, and they never found intro graphics that made it work. This new
theme is growing on me though.
I hate how the puck somehow moves during the 3D remake of Lemieux's goal.
They should fix this and make it go like it did in reality, meaning
straight and not weirdly move
Like any other Canadian I like the old theme better and was pissed off when
they had to get a new one but this one is amazing, I don't mind the change
now
About TIME!!! "He just caught an Edge"..... is a Tv line for phenomenal
idiots. I said exactly that on NHL . com and they took down the entire
thread... wow..... I also predicted it would take Don Cherry to get those
Joe Average TV line deluded fools to accept the obvious fact.... he was
pulled down on purpose... Just as i predicted would happen before that game
even had ended. Thank you Don Cherry, the last man Canada has in the
mainstream media. A giant hypocrite saying " We have to get fighting out of
our game" started this trend with the Oilers, who can get used to being
beat up and loosing till they get an enforcer, and some men.
Don is the best! Those were the real heroes back then, people who actually
fought for our freedom. Now it's a bunch of bullshit wars the U.S starts
for money.
You never want to hurt someone on purpose (ok, maybe Matt Cooke when he was
being Matt Cooke). If this was a Flyer player, what would Grapes'
commentary be?
