Why in the world would anyone spend so much time to build a great written
tutorial and then do it in german. i know it's a german forum but really
why??? Using google translate messes up the formatting and is making the
tutorial unreadable... and you can't copy text and do manual google
translate... so F'ing frustrated right now
+tornapart75 ungrateful??? Get down from your high horse there and shove it!I said it was a great written tutorial BUT using google translate messes up the formatting and is making the tutorial UNREADABLE. (highlighted it for you so you can better see the reason for NOT using translate on the whole site) ... I also wrote: "and you can't copy text and do manual google translate"GreatScott is doing some incredible tutorials, so when you do a written tutorial on a forum that have public access and you already know at the point when writing the tutorial, that it's going to be the first comprehensive tutorial on the specific subject, i really questions the language he choose, as he have followers from all over the world, and not just Germany. So yes, i will learn German for the sake of one tutorial... or not... when i had it in school it was enough, it didn't stick to me then and it won't do it now. (I'm from Denmark so yes we do have German in school)But telling some one just to learn a language is ignorant as f**k, and you should try work on not being so ignorantBut for any other that would be interested, just create an account on that forum and you can highlight and copy text for translate, as you can't do that as a guest on the site.
Hey GreatScott,
i already have an media center pc and want to run the ambilight clone. What
is my best Option? My HTPC obviously doesn't has any gpio. Can i use teensy
or something like that?
+Mr HamsterBacke The LED strip's IC's are using the SPI interface, I think the Arduinos have also an SPI Interface. But maybe you must program something :/
Not sure if anyone's asked this and I couldn't find the info in the
description but sorry if you've already answered this.
My question is - Approximately how much did the cost you to put together?
$100? $400? $900?
Me & my partner want to give this a go as a bookshelf instead which will
make it tricky (can't hide wiring easily) but we think we can do it.
Thanks for giving us a project to work on together. Finally her love of
building and my love of tech will come together :D
+GreatScott! Hate to be annoying but while I have your attention, how much did it cost to put the LED bar together (minus the cost of the physical bar)? It's so cool! Thanks mate, you're the best! :)
+GreatScott! Thank you very much! That's really helpful.Loving your videos, I'll make sure to stick a little "Based on the work of Great Scott!" plaque on it :p
