They seem to think grades are the ONLY thing colleges or jobs should look at. If schools were only interested in numbers then the application process would be very short. It would be 1) your name, 2) your GPA and 3) your standardized test score. THAT'S IT!! there would be no need for a personal statement, or interview, or internships, etc.. People try to play like these things are not part of the admission decision whenever they talk about Affirmative Action. If someone with great grades is rejected from a school then maybe the rest of their application sucked or maybe their interview sucked or maybe the school does not believe that student can add to the culture of the campus.

Believe it or not, scores are ONLY ONE of the factors they look at in admissions. They will take in a person with a 3.5 gpa over a person with a 4.0 gpa just because the 3.5 had a better interview.

Don't misinterpret my apology.  I still don't agree.  But I did misquote the article.  However, the premise of what I stated remains.  The study that you have been quoting, the 230 bonus for Blacks, is no more recent than the 1997 article that I attached depicting White Supremacist attacks of Asians. They are both old information.  Why don't you conduct your own recent study and submit it to be used as a reference?  The only proof I have is what I see with my own eyes, and that is the demographics at these top institutions usually have higher percentages of Asians and Whites.  So no, I don't agree that AA hurts Asians across the board.  But if Harvard has discriminated against Asians, I'm sure Asians will get their just do. I have no predictions about changes for Asian Americans because I don't know enough to make an educated prediction.

Your entire argument seems to be based upon Asians admission to Harvard University.  Interesting.  There are more prestigious universities in the US than Harvard.  In Chicago, we have quite a few of the top ten rated universities in the world.  U of C, Northwestern, IIT.  And I see mostly Whites and Asians as students at those universities. I'm not one to believe everything the media proclaims.

First let me apologize for misquoting the article.  That's why I took the time to address every thing when you first attached it.  The Princeton study was conducted in 2004 not in 1920.  But definitely not in 2015.  And the article also states, as I quoted earlier, "And the Princeton study Lee refers to has been widely criticized by academics who argue that it relies too heavily on grades and test scores to draw conclusions about racial bias and that the data the study uses are too old to be relevant."  To the contrary, I don't feel inferior to any one.  That's why I don't need to compete with any one in order to be successful.  I only compete with myself and continue improving my skills. Blacks encounter many obstacles to succeed.  Some of us give up, and some of us chalk it up to life and keep going. Lastly, communication is both expressed and implied.  One makes assumptions based upon implications.  If I assumed anything regarding your views about Blacks, my assumptions were based on your implications not necessarily what you expressly wrote.

The video I posted is about racism in China against Blacks; specifically about a Chinese girl born of a Chinese mother and a Black Father.

Don't beat yourself up for feeling that Blacks are not deserving of spots at ELITE institutions.  Some Whites feel the same way.  One of my graduate professors circulated an article, years ago, that touched upon how Whites think all Blacks were admitted into universities because of AA.  It was a great article.  I haven't been able to find an electronic copy of it however.  But, if I do, I will post it here.
