Snow Storm Drive In MK7 VW Golf R (3 of 3)
3/23/16 snow storm in Colorado. This is my 2015 Volkswagen Golf R plowing through what ended up being 12-15" of snow. I love this car!! Momentum is my ...
+MrThePrivateer I agree. To me though, I'm driving a Golf R, I don't want the car to look to "modeled" down since (hope that makes sense) it's my daily driver.. :-)
Woww haha. You went crazy wide and big. :) I did the same with 235/40/18 WS 80 on some 18" Passat wheels that I bought second hand from my dealer.. Was not very pleased in iced snow and thoroughly rolled snow. After talking with my European rally race driver friend, he told me to find the narrowest tire for my car. Now I have 205/50/17 same brand and model tire on 17x7 Passat wheels. What a difference. Also the car is so much more responsive in steering and with less understeere and washout in the corners. Also the tires were 200$ cheaper. With the shipping and installation I was a few bucks under but still very pleased.
