thanks for the video. Any idea how to remove the boot hatch interior panel? Don't want to break anything so would be great if you could explain the best way to lever off the panel e.g. from which corner to start etc.

Brilliant tip about the grease! Same problem with Audi A3 not so lucky as it's messed with all the electrics! Clips were dry as a bone on mine hence the chewed up panel and loss of hair, thanks for the advise

Gently, gently with a wide bladed implement. I started in the middle and worked my way slowly to each corner. Shining a torch in the crack helps to see where the push clips are.

mine doesn't seem to be greased, and it feels firmly stuck in place. Almost feels like there are more than the two screws holding the panel up

they look to have a Mercedes badge, but mercs use 112 pcd and golf mk 4 use 100pcd I think.
