why is your engine so noisy? i have a Golf mk5 2.0 tdi dsg and it does not make so mutch... buts its a cool noise and i love the PD engine. Golfs are so damn addictive, and it handles very well! loves corners to, but its easy to spin the wheels at low speed. try flooring it on 2 gear from 30 km/h, the wheels will just spin. i have a sportline with full leather interior if you wondered. Cheers mate!

@simpl3ss none so far with mine. 72.000 km, dsg working like a dream. But for obvious reasons i cant remove the DPF (diesel particle filter) in norway. so i have no other choise than sticking to the stock ones, for ever. but its comfortable and refined. Whats the defects? other than usual ones? thanx for the reply! and the speed limit here is 100 Km/h... DUUUH! :(

Thats not in Stock...i got a well drived Golf 5 BKD Standard and the absolutly top speed on the straight is at 220-225 depends on the weather conditions...between 7 and 10 deg its the best....downhill i can do 230-235 depend how far u can go downhill. At 4200 RPM the Power is over on a straight line...so your car is not stock

@transalpunto This car is golf v with 140hp.The steering is a golf gti steering wheel wich i mounted personal on my car.The gt steering differs from a golf gti steering and if you look closer you will see that steering emblem is inscriptionated whit GTI not whit GT.On the golf 5 it is named GT not GTD

@MastaCFnK true that, the dsg shifts at optimum range, it shifts at 4200 rpm, and it does pull, hard.. but i aint got no defects. but the dsg oil is expensive as hell!

That is downhill. i've driven a lot of 140 hp tdi Golf and Touran. But that is definetly downhill, or ecu upgrade to 185 hhp

@corax0705 I have sport exhaust because of that it sounds so loud!!!Yes,it's a good car but like other cars it have defects!!!

Could be going down a hill, if it is stock is doing well. I've got mine to 210 but haven't tried much more

were are you from?we have vw golf 5 from 2005 eith 2.0 tdi 140 engine only with 6 speed gearbox..ONLY 6

A standard BKD engine golf will do ~140mph on the speedo. Diesels are about torque anyway
