Read the reviews on lowes website. It's hugely an epic fail. Makes you wonder how junk gets released to the public by huge companies. Plus why does the guy say not to buy it and hook it all up? It supposed to be DIY not sit on the phone with support.

I installed an Iris system for a co-worker and we ended up taking it back. He went with Smartthings and I was able to get some of the newer Iris sensors working with Smartthings but it's not officially supported.  I like the keypads myself but Smartthings is hinting that they will have officially supported keypads within 3-4 months.//smarthomehq.net/iris-v2-sensors-on-smartthings/

If the Samsung system works we'll give it a hard look. Thanks, We completely disconnected Iris which is a shame at the investment already made.

+Smart Home HQ Or recovers when previously paying users like myself move to other system because Gen 2 doesn't work and dropped many of it's best Gen 1 features like the web based scheduling. I'm 55 and don't want to deal with a cell phone screen to schedule my house. I want the 24" monitor. You folks really screwed up.

I'm still leaning towards Smartthings myself. It will be interesting to see how Iris matures and expands.
