Wonderful movement & great letter - which would have had my vote! Its reasoned rebuttal makes the City's letter look like the ridiculous excuse for a crackdown that it is. It's a compelling reflection of the movement's strengths: non-violence, horizontal democracy, & inclusive community. And the fact that it was proposed by an articulate, mature man, helps challenge corporate media's dismissal of the movement as being a just a bunch of bored, hippy kids. Solidarity from TO!

The Occupy Oakland people don't seem to realize that there wouldn't be a park, nor facilities there if other people hadn't paid for them with their tax dollars over decades. Oh - but they sort of don't have the concept of "other people" and "consideration for others" down, do they?

I think my sign would just say, "THANK YOU!" because, without them, i would be listening to shitty music. I wouldnt be as inspired to go for my dreams. I wouldnt be able to say that they are my favorite band of all time, and I wouldnt have the memories from the show that I do today. so yes, Thank you, is what my sign would say. (plus my twitter handle.. just so i can get followed :) )
